I didn't think it mattered about the cats, as the 300zx does not appear on the VOSA database.

Therefore it should be tested on a lesser stringent emissions test at idle. 3.5% Co2

 

Having said that, I guess the testing criteria is changing all the time, I may be out of date.

i have a few bits the roof trims need putting on started before but gave up hate things with clips and tangs and i need to do put the door sill trims on

i was reading the its pre 92 so should be tested as a non cat car

Awesome. It's sat lower than I was expecting on the Koni's. Any side profile shots? Glad your happy with it mate, get it MOT'd and enjoy it. Oh and don't stuff it into a ditch/post/Armco etc :lol:

its first clean and polish and wax also made up the t tops and fitted them will get some better pics when its out going got mot 2 moz now

passed mot he could not find a one thing wrong with it had the whole shop stop work to talk about the car my afr gauge at idle is about 14.7 so thats prefect the co was 1.53% so was well under the mot limit and hc were 126ppm so its running nice and clean indeed with no cats

thanks for all your kind words yes it been a long haul and pain in the arse at times but i have a plan witch am going to start in the next few weeks of a epic engine build so stay tuned as the thread is about to start again with a monster of a engine build round the gt675 turbos. in mean time while i will fit the bigger injector and map this and fit the race logic traction for now the car is on 6 psi till the clutch is beded in the uprated turbos jtw500, with the full 3 inch system inc down pipes and 2.5 cooler pipes is still shifts so with 15. 16 psi it going to be pretty good. the car really is great nothing like it was when i last drove it. i have a few things am going to change over the next few weeks to just bits will update as i go glad you all like it :punk:

Ive Had A good looksie at Dans car today and i can confirm he,s done an outstanding job with no short cuts on parts or workmanship....One of the clubs better cars i say:yes:

3inch down pipes 3 inch decats and vail side but the end tips have been changed to bigger tip. the turbos are rebuild stock with uprated parts so there jtw500s, really. the intake noise and spool is pretty loud to i guess that due to the 2,5 cooler pipes . i have duel maff and stillen to add next week, to and 740cc injectors and them remap. am staying on 6psi for now as the clutch is new. it pulls great even with this little boost i guess all the breathing mods are working as a team here.

am sure on full boost it will sound unreal will do a vid when the time comes

Are you still using the stock accordion pipes? (Ones that feed from the intake to the turbo) apparently the ribs in there help to silence the spool noise.
