So from the ashes or parts of Purple Rain she will be reborn !

Out for delivery so should have them by 3pm.

 

Keeping them boxed and likely in my living room as I don't have any tyres for them yet :(

 

The repray has now been delayed until late march as I don't have a garage to strip and do prep work yet.

 

I'd rather do it right in a place that's dry and secure.

 

I'll unbox and upload pics tonight.

Ordering these shortly but only concern is the look of the 275 on a 9.5" rim

 

i want the same look front and back and i will be getting the rear arches tucked to fit better.

 

Any thoughts i should concider before the buy ?

My old wheels were 8.5 and 9.5 with a 245 and a 275 - Both tyre walls were dead flat, no nasty stretch and they looked both the same.

In reality, it doesn't seem to be like that. I was running a 35 profile up front with a 245 and the tyre looked waayyyy taller than the 275 30 rear I was running. I dropped to a 245 30 and it looked pretty much cock-on with the rear.

Being 17's both mine are now a matching 40 profile and i was the same - a 45 which i used to have on the front looked very tall.

 

It does throw the speedo out a tad though or you North of the border would say 'wee' and you'll be the same, as with a 19 you should have 35 on the front.

 

A way round this would be to seat the needle a notch further down, so it's stays pretty much dormant until you reach 5mph.
