No skirts, no spoiler. It looks superb as it is and doesn't need anything externally to finish it off :thumbup1:

Whilst I think the SWB can work without a spoiler, I'd put a twinz spoiler on it. Very subtle, but finishes the boot off IMO....possibly some TwinZ skirts to help balance the rear out, but TBH, it looks mighty fine as it is. :)

I totally get what si is saying here, the overhang of the spoiler ties in beautifully with the way the rear bumper steps out, it's all about angles with the z32, I love my spoiler from some angles, but other angles I could change it without question, the twinz is a great spoiler.

this has to be in the top 3 cars in this club if not number one and the best looking white z i have seen on here by a mile great job mate

[emoji7] that is just [emoji7] spoiler or no spoiler, it looks fantastic. The perfect example of a Z32 in my book. I would definitely put the pin stripes on, it only costs a couple of quid from eBay for plenty to do the whole car and it's very close to the OEM colour. I wouldn't recommend going black, order some of this in charcoal, slap it on and see what you think. If you don't like it, whip it off! I'm a big fan of the swage line pin stripe [emoji106]

Absolutely awesome, one of my favourite Zeds ever! The wheels and stance are spot on:thumbup:

I will add that it's so nice to see builds of this quality - it doesn't happen very often, hats off, a very fine creation!

I have some work to do!!!!!!!!!! lol :)

Agreed!

A few years ago I had a plan to chop in my 2+2 and start a fresh with a 2+0 as I prefer many aspects of the SWB. After much deliberation and considering all the man hours, money, blood, sweat and tears invested in my 2+2 so far, I decided not to write off another huge sum of cash in an attempt to sit on a different shade of green on the other side!

Nevertheless, my plan was fairly specific, a SWB finished in the whitest white, with a 99spec front bumper and rear lights, black roof bars and a narrowed down choice of 18" wheels (of which LMGT4's were on the list). Have you been reading my diary?!

The twinz rear made it onto my list of maybes and I was always pondering whether to fit a twinz spoiler or leave it flush. The quality and standard of this restoration, the attention to detail under the bonnet and the tastefully restored interior has further forged it's impression as my absolute favourite Z32 to date.

Guys in genuinely overwhelmed by all of your kind comments, it really means a lot to me coming from some of the guys that have formed a lot of my inspiration. If you look at my car and see a little bit of yours, it's probably no coincidence. You know who you are!

As you can tell from my profile I don't live in the uk at the moment so getting the former lump of scrap back on the road has been a bit of an effort. All I can say is that it's the support and seemingly new found enthusiasm for project like this that have driven me to actually complete the car. Thanks to you all!

In reality the car is far from perfect but I am now happy that I now have a very solid base to push on from. Hopefully we will be together for many years to come- sorry Joley, as tempting as the offer is for your stunning example

I hope to be back in the uk in the non to distant future and actually get out and drive the car and meet some more of you fine people.

Ps thanks for the ideas- keep them coming

My other future plans are

retrim the recaros in half leather/ half alcantara- no need to guess where they will go to

Refurb the wheels back to factory (they are the 350 option wheel)

A tune up with noz

A new set of blue glass- I have the screen but God knows where I'll get a set for a swb from- keep your eyes out for me

A decent wheel alignment

Oh and on my xmas list will be some new door rubbers

And finally I'll try out some swage tape:thumbup:

Good stuff dude!

Re: Blue glass - your best bet is probably from the US. Not sure a tailgate glass would travel too well, but door glass and targa glass should be relatively straight forward.

My God a Z actually cleaner than Funky Si, be a real challenge to get better / cleaner than that.

I have followed this restoration from the start and admire your dedication and attention to detail and love the end product

Im going to be doing a load of work on mine over the winter including an engine change, thus spraying the engine bay properly and get all the niggly bits sorted, but after seeing yours im considering doing alot more now lol

Between you and I, it's a bit of a cunning and devious misdirection as I didn't specify the currency of the deal. As he's in HongKong I think it's only fair I pay in his local currency [emoji57]

I think I'd still be on to a good deal mate:thumbup: although in all honesty I'm sure we have both invested too much time, money and energy into our cars to let them go.

One thing I need some help with, I'm going to need to sort an agreed value insurance policy on this. I've not done this on one of my cars before as they have never been highly modified and/or were a bit crappy.

What have you guys done? I'm not sure on the value but I guess for insurance purposes it would have to be around 20???
