What are people's opinions on what will happen value wise with the 300. I'm considering selling my h plate tt manual 66k miles very tidy car I'd guess it's worth 4k tops. I have a garage to keep it in and I teach mechanics (was mechanic 15 years ) so I wondered if I'd be better keeping it dry stored take it for odd run etc or selling on. I don't have a clue if values have peaked and this is all they'll ever really be worth or if a steep climb in the future may occur thanks

The government might change regulations that force tax on fuel or road fund up in a year etc that cause a nose dive in the value of anything that isn't a sensible Eco hatch. A film or tv series may come out that has a Z32 as the star next week, that sends popularity through the roof. You just can't know. It's a gamble. Currently there seems to be a lack of good quality twin turbo manuals for sale, this is pushing prices up fairly steadily over the last 18 months or so. I wouldn't consider it investment worthy increases yet though, as I say I could crash as easy tomorrow.

If you enjoy it keep it. If not and you don't need to sell ask for a proper price and wait for that price to be paid.

Prices don't seem to have changed much in ten years or so. Maybe dropped slightly?

I think you're looking at another ten years before they start to climb with any real note. If you want to keep it as an investment, not sure you'd get much return after another ten years of maintenance, insurance etc?

If you have the space to keep it as a toy you enjoy then do so, but dont expect values to suddenly sky rocket, we've been saying they will for as long as I've been here and they've done nothing but drop lol

They reached the bottom of their depreciation curve about 5 years ago. They're now at post 10 year values - not changed much, but they are out of the bottom of the bin.

Agree with everything else. :)

I've only been on "the Zed scene" for a couple of years or so now, but even I've noticed a marked increase in both asking prices and the price that cars are actually selling for.

When I bought my old 2+2 TT auto 2 years ago, I paid less than £2k and it had failed to reach it's reserve on eBay prior to that. It was a clean, unmolested example and looked very nice indeed.

At that point, there were plenty on eBay for sale.

Fast-forward 2 years and there's noticeably fewer on there, especially "original" ones, and they're selling for considerably more than that. Josh's latest toy was just short of £4k and I'd say that is of comparable quality to my old one.

Prices are definitely on the up and, as less Zeds are on the road (or even available to be on the road), I reckon they'll just keep climbing.

:)

I'm not sure they will ever have that raw, low-tech, classic appeal that the early Z's have, but who knows, maybe in another few years they will look like a low-tech car in comparison with what is left around.
