I'm wanting your ideas really on what might improve the looks of my car (externally).

Generally, I think I looks pretty nice but as with everything, there's always more than can be done so I'm interested in what opinions people have.

Please don't be shy, I certainly don't take offence if others are keen and all that.

Here's a couple of pictures of the car:

First i would get rid of that stupid 80's white tyre lettering

I wouldnt do anything mate but maybe add some clear rear bumper side markers

You need whitewalls...............lol!

Thanks Stephen. I've been debating on new wheels but I knwo these ones were always a popular choice on zeds in the past. At least when I got them. I'm not so keep on multi spoke albeit there's a couple of cars in the forum that look great. Any suggestions? Maybe something like the ones baz used to have on the black zed (work equips)

Work Equippes aren't going to be cheap mate, Dan300zx has a set of Rotas on his car that look pretty sweet. Probably half the price of Equippes,

I like the 99 front with the splitter, that's what i'm going for myself. I think you should change your exhaust system to twin pipe like the B&B / Labree systems and sell off / donate that twin single exit one you have :innocent:

Did I mention that I'm looking for a nice Veilside Evolution exhaust system if you know of anyone getting rid :whistling:

I have a 99 spec with one of Carmads lip, looks good, but after hitting a curb i split it, so didnt get fitted when resprayed, needless to say it will be going back on at some point this year lol

Pic funnily enough includes your fat ass

I have toyed th the idea of colouring the inside of them black (same colour as the car). Or chrome.

No, no and NOT!!!! The chroming of stock headlamps is something that has now thankfully been confined to the sin-bin of the past and long may it stay there! :) Chromed stock headlights were all the rage about 10 years ago and BOY do they look dreadful!! lol

This is what I meant as an option for the front bumper

I like this car. The owners a nice guy as well, who name I have forgotten more times than I've been told it. I think it's Keith, is it keith?

I also would like a 99 front. However I wants urethane one, which I don't want to pay for, this is a problem lol.

What about the 99 spec inserts?

I have one sitting in the garage, it's seat there for ages but I keep being lazy and not fitting it, then think... Do I want to.

I do have some, but the ones with the inserts rather than the actual 99 spec ones.

I've been giving this some thought, Birdy my mate, and a couple of things have sprung to mind :)

Your interior (obviously): I'm still waiting for you to fetch the leather here, if you remember our chat when you were here ;)

Your brake calipers: they need some love as they spoil the overall effect of the wheels (in my opinion). Even a lick of Smoothrite and some new decals would make a huge difference!

Exterior: firstly, wash it! Then I'd seriously consider having your 'tache painted as the faded OEM grey (as mine was) really spoils an otherwise mean front end. 99 Spec front would eliminate that issue entirely, of course. I debated swapping mine, but decided I preferred the original face.

Lose the crystal front indicators as they don't really tie in with any other light on the car.

Then, aside from the little paintwork niggles you're aware of, she'll be looking infinitely smarter! :thumbup1:

Bottom 2 look the best!

Those Bomex mirrors....or are they Veilside ones look dreadful! Thalidomide springs to mind whenever I see those.

I always think the 99 front bumper looks a it lost on a black Z as you can't see much of the detail. I've got a scarab on mine but not decided if I like it or not yet! As for wheels Lee if you are thinking about changing then have a look at Japan Racing, they have some awesome designs and some that will absolutely transform your car, especially in a bronze colour

Just a few subtle, tiny things Lee - as your Zed is pretty damn fine as it is.....

Lose the white letters on the tyres :nono:

Replace the square J-spec front number plate - it's just too "goofy"

Tidy chipped paint at the leading edges of the side-skirts

Re-paint the front "moustache" in a better colour than the faded light grey

Oh, and...

Add a Stillen front lip spoiler like mine

Richard:thumbup:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I'm starting to like the stillen lip... But I don't want to pay stupid money for one. Richard, you should give me your... Because I'm awesome.

I like the lettering but it's clearly very marmight, and none of you have taste haha.

I absolutely agree the skirts need reprinting, I just haven't got round to it. Might ask a body shop if they can give me some paint to do them and the moustache.
