Since our last meet at Haynes, something of a transformation has happened there. The new museum was half built, but now it's been completed, Haynes Motor Museum are doing monthly breakfast club meetings there now on the first Sunday of each month and we are going to hold our first meet there conjointly with the Southern area (but of course, anyone's welcome).

There's coffee, full English breakfast at their Café 750, a variety of different cars in attendance and also the museum.

There is also this :

Three Curator’s Choice VIP exclusive parking / show spaces on Haynes Green, the prime location immediately in front of Café 750; to register for one of these limited spaces please contact us via email marketing@haynesmotormuseum.co.uk stating your vehicle details attaching a current image. Closing date for entries Friday 13th February. Matt Piper, Museum Curator will select the three vehicles with the aim of always representing a broad spectrum of marques. The successful vehicle owners will be contacted one week before the event to arrange access to the elite spaces. We will also email all other entries to inform them of the results at this stage but of course we look forward to welcoming all marques to the club with equally open arms.

For those of you that haven't been, Haynes is a fantastic museum with one of the biggest car collections in the whole of Europe and certainly the biggest in the UK.

In the afternoon, for any keen aviation enthusiasts (like myself, JoelyP, AndrewG etc), Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum is also on the cards for those that want to head here too as it's only 5 miles from Haynes.

So, a really nice day out with or without the family. Please put your names down for those who want to attend :)

Meet points/times to be arranged, but expect a reasonably early start. :)

LOL - I'd have preferred Easter Sunday...... Gives me Monday to recover from the round trip before returning to work on Tuesday!! Still, can't please everyone. I'll (re)consult the Oracle and let you know.....:whistling:

Julia will be fine with it and you'll have your Z back by then! haha

Probably and maybe..... I have not had time to talk to Mr F about a couple of replacement parts yet...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Steve and I have been discussing this and we feel that due to lack of interest, we will postpone this for a month until the same time in May. Appreciate that Easter Holidays are rather awkward.

How do people feel about this?

I'd prefer that to be honest Si... This weekend was always going to be tight - as I am collecting my bits from MJP Saturday and (hopefully) dropping it all at the body-shop afterwards.

May would be better; especially one of the bank holiday weekends, as I'd prefer to make the trip to Sparkford and back on a Sunday when I don't have work on the Monday!!

Breakfast club is always first Sunday of each month, so the next one will be the 3rd.

Which is the Mayday bank holiday weekend, if I'm not mistaken.... That's damn handy...

So is it definitely postponed? Managed to get the day off work, will go off roading instead if it not happening. Need to get the correct vehicle prepared :)

Goddammit! lol

Yes, we'll postpone this until the first Sunday in May (3rd). It gives more chance for members to get along.

Is this one still on.....?

Reason I ask is that, as it's BH weekend, Julia and I will most likely drive down on Saturday afternoon and stay somewhere nearby; as opposed to thrashing it down to Somerset on Sunday morning.

The Zed will, sadly, not be joining us. It has only just gone into the bodyshop - and the proprietor has had to postpone works for a couple of weeks owing to a personal issue. So I won't have it back until 16th.....

If it is I sadly can't attend. May in general is a nightmare. I'm in call this weekend, then there's japfest, my stag do and various other stuff.

Who is able to make this coming Sunday?

Weather is looking pretty rotten, so I'll unlikely be in the Z.

Appears this one hasn't gotten going either! That's pants!

Richard, if you and Julia fancy a day out in Bath, I'll happily pop over!

I think the weather had much to do with that this time.. Still, it would not have been the same without the Z; it will soon be back though. Paint man has had to interrupt his work for an operation.

Another time, I guess!

Don't worry mate - this one never happened either!

Still, the summer is almost upon us; and once it is there will be more interest.....:clover:
