Since our last meet at Haynes, something of a transformation has happened there. The new museum was half built, but now it's been completed, Haynes Motor Museum are doing monthly breakfast club meetings there now on the first Sunday of each month and we are going to hold our first meet there conjointly with the Southern area (but of course, anyone's welcome).

There's coffee, full English breakfast at their Café 750, a variety of different cars in attendance and also the museum.

There is also this :

Three Curator’s Choice VIP exclusive parking / show spaces on Haynes Green, the prime location immediately in front of Café 750; to register for one of these limited spaces please contact us via email marketing@haynesmotormuseum.co.uk stating your vehicle details attaching a current image. Closing date for entries Friday 13th February. Matt Piper, Museum Curator will select the three vehicles with the aim of always representing a broad spectrum of marques. The successful vehicle owners will be contacted one week before the event to arrange access to the elite spaces. We will also email all other entries to inform them of the results at this stage but of course we look forward to welcoming all marques to the club with equally open arms.

For those of you that haven't been, Haynes is a fantastic museum with one of the biggest car collections in the whole of Europe and certainly the biggest in the UK.

In the afternoon, for any keen aviation enthusiasts (like myself, JoelyP, AndrewG etc), Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum is also on the cards for those that want to head here too as it's only 5 miles from Haynes.

So, a really nice day out with or without the family. Please put your names down for those who want to attend :)

Meet points/times to be arranged, but expect a reasonably early start. :)

Who's car did you buy? Got any photos or description?

You would be more than welcome. As for history of your car, it's worth taking some pictures and popping them up in a thread. I'm sure someone will recognise it if it's a club car.

Hmmm, following Si's text the other day; and since it is Easter Sunday, I might have to come along to this as well......

.....Depending on when my Zed is booked in at the body shop to have a couple of minor blemishes fixed. Still, I could come along anyway - Zed or not. Will check with the Oracle....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Correct! Another roll call!

Looks like this has been moved to the 12th!!!! I had wondered - their original dates suggested the 5th...which yes, is Easter Sunday...

Ah has it now, that makes life easier for me. That four days over waster is a big chance for me to catch up a bit.

LOL - I'd have preferred Easter Sunday...... Gives me Monday to recover from the round trip before returning to work on Tuesday!! Still, can't please everyone. I'll (re)consult the Oracle and let you know.....:whistling:
