Got another potential zx lined up which looks really nice but has had the air con removed... as fast I can tell it's compressor, radiator and plumbing... everything remains inside the car.

What am I looking at cost wise (Roughly) to get it back in? Any ideas?

I guess you need to decide if it's really worth the trouble and are you going for used or new parts...

and then if you're going to redo the old heater matrix at the same time..

I don't know but at a wild guess I'd put in in above a hundred with second had bits.. maybe three with combined new and old ....

and fyi a new heater matrix is about £45

Prffft, you really, really want to do that? Mines fully deleted and imagining refitting it...stuff that.

I'd never remove the AC! It's a GT car - it was designed to have those luxuries. Granted, if you're in Scotland, you need to install a ceramic heater, but I like to have some AC when I don't want the tops off! :)

Yes... refitting a/c sounds like a potential nightmare :)

No matter how many windows and targas you open, on one scorching hot day a/c is a blessing :)

My air con staying only because its going to be utalised as an air pump for my air suspension.and will work loads better.its already inplace.and itll save me about five hundred pound on pumps ect.and space in the boot. Every cloud has a silver linning.a Si.lol

I got my a/c working again after a period. the condenser is made of unobtainium, mine now has the unit from a combine harvester! The compressor can be reconditioned. All this got sorted out by a local specialist at around £900. Not cheap, but the car demists properly and is a please to drive in hot weather. you pays your money and makes your choices.
