Had a pheasant fly into the rear quarter glass, leave a bunch of feathers caught in the tailgate, and bump the aerial on its way past.

So now it's slightly bent, and won't retract all the way down, as well as wobbles about loosely.

Could have been worse, the other pheasant that was with it just skimmed across the front of the windscreen by a couple of inches.

I think there was a spare in the box of bits I have. How difficult a job is it to replace?

I don't think the feathers will glue back that easily..........lol.......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Removed mine the other week, just 3 bolts and a plug IIRC, once the boot trim has been removed.

The job is straight forward Craig...dont forget to fit the drain tube correctly that goes through the lower boot region though;)...And dont hang the bird too low for the next few days or the dog will drag it off the hook...LOL

Yumm like me some pheasant, it's that time of year. Ducks are due for the shoot soon :D

I tried piegon once but there was nothing on it...needed 15 of em for a feed:crying:

Yeah just the breast, not much meat. Partridge is nice, as is alligator and ostrich. My very favourite is deer.

I think the pheasant survived, but it tumbled off into a field, and I didn't bother stopping to look for it.

Thanks for the link Andrew, seems like a right palaver, will save that for a weekend I really have nothing else to do, lol.

Gary, there's always one comedihen in the flock

LOL at some replies.....

But to answer Craig's question - changing the aerial is quite easy; the most annoying part for me was removing (and subsequently replacing) all the bits of boot trim. I think I did mine in about an hour, start to finish. And as Bri says, make sure you fit the drain hose correctly inside the wing area...

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
