that rear tire looks like its stretched to 1 mm of its life.....could be a cheap wide ass though for somebody

"Parts are plentiful and inexpensive"

Hahahaha! That's the funniest thing I've heard today, just like a beetle or mini.

A lot of people buy these cars then realise they can't afford them or they only ever intended to keep them over the summer.

True, but doubt many would spend 5k for the summer then be happy to sell for 2.5k without even trying to get more?

There are a handful that keep cropping back up after recently changing hands, I'd be wary myself.

My current Z has passed through many hands, the last owner only had it 3 months before I bought it (foolishly), needless to say it was riddled with many faults, some quite expensive to sort as well. Doesn't matter now, I've bought and I'll stick with it and do what the others weren't prepared to do which is spend money on sorting it out properly instead of glossing over the issues.

Buyers beware!

It does beg questions. My car has had 3 UK owners, the importer for several years, then a chap in London for a few months who had it painted or tarted up i should say then sold it after a few months, I brought it and the engine blew up after a few months, maybe he knew...

yeh i'de be wary too Infact I am not sure i would buy another used zed again if that makes sense my next one will be almost new and I carn't wait well i can i have to lol but you know what i mean putting alot in to it to make sure all it needs is fuel washing and driving maybe the odd little thing but in gen be a well sorted car :).

Im going to view it ill report back later. Its about 30 mins from me

Sweet, let me know what you find. Not really the biggest fan of wide arch zeds but beggars can't be chooser's

Take it the red ones not for you then buddy

I bought my widearch a couple of years ago....absolutely LOVE widearch however i went for the looks and bought with my heart and not my head, ithe day i bought it home the power steering rad went....2months later it had the death whine and turbo blew....months later the other turbo blew....40mph and the seats were knocking so had the prop shaft changed....now...the underside of the car has clearly been covered by the kit and needs to be cut off, bodywork sorted and put back....alot of work but to me its my pride and joy...if youre willing to spend then its worth it, i wouldnt get involved if your on a tight-ish budget - if body and engine are on the way out then that 2.5k will turn into 7.5k and just imagine the zed u can pick up for that kinda money!!

My only real issue with that blue one on eBay is... I really hate the Strosek front bumper!! I just don't think it suits the look of the car at all. :(

A few years ago, I used to go to a monthly Jap meet over at the Nissan plant in Sunderland. More often than not, there was a blue Strosek 300 there and it just demanded peoples' attention! But I grumbled about the front bumper even then...

I love widearch cars, especially older ones like Manta 400s, X-Pack Capris and, of course, Zeds! :)

I remember that Zed Si. I used to go up in my RX8 and then later my white 350z.

That site is still going....though only has something like 5 members.

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

I love the wide body zed and i can hand on my heart say that i also dont like the front end and as soon as ive sorted out the tubs the front is comming off and hopefully when this group buy gets back on track ill be putting on a twin z p spec front end.to hide a fmic in black. I new when i was having a deal with alan on my wide arss was i new exactly what i was getting and new all the issues that went with this car. I think you need a really ohnest seller to let you know or make sure u take somone who knows zeds inside out. And that goes to any car you buy.

+1 mate, its too soft and round for the zed, looks like a mk4 fiesta si bumper.

bloke has now dropped the price to £2350 if you buy as is.

just messaged him and he said its had some wlding to the sub frame, and "no rust that he knows of".

it also doesn't smoke excessively.

For what it's worth: I think it's a very nice looking Zed (awful front bumper aside) and I wouldn't be ashamed to own it - I'd change some bits, but that's just me.

I can't help but wonder why he's happy (?) to lose 50% of his money so soon after buying it though...!!

Im going to view it ill report back later. Its about 30 mins from me

Hi Ian,did you view this mate?if so whats your thoughts?did you test drive it?
