Hi i am sorry in advance if this is a obvious question or has already been asked and answered ....... I'm new to the 300ZX please be patient

Can a 300ZX fit 19inch wheels. If so is it straight forward or is there some modification needed.

Thank you :thumbup1:

Not a simple case of whether 19" wheels will fit. They will, but that is governed by what offset and width you go for.

I have 19" wheels on my Z.

Thanks for the help i wasn't sure as i only seem to find 18's on peoples cars. Do you no what the maximum width that could fit (Sorry I should have also asked that).

I don't actually own the car yet so it is difficult to get a clear idea of what space i have to play with before a large amount of modifying is needed.

Thanks for the help guys.

I've got 19s on mine at the moment. 255/35 rubber on the rear and 255/30 on the front as the 35s rubbed (standard suspension).

Offset!?

Again, it depends on offset. You can just about squeeze a 10" wheel with no arch modifications @ +40 at the rear. Fronts, 9" @ +25.

My fronts are 8.5" wide @ +20 with 245 35 19 tyres and the rears are 9.5" @ +25 with 275 30 19, but I do have the very top of my arch lip rolled which you can't see.

Offset!?

Yeah, there'll be some of that somewhere...

stick with 18s looks well better 19s looks to big I think

Depends what style you go for. My 19s don't look too big at all. Proportionally, the 2+2 with the right style looks better in 19" than 18" guise. I had 2 sets of 18" wheels before in a similar style and never felt it looked proportionally correct.

yours looks ok like just other 300s I have seen on 19s looks a bit to big and not rite for the car the rotas I have in 18 looks just rite

Thanks for all the advice guys you have given me a few things to consider.

Style wise i want something different.

I was considering 20 inch and finding away to tuck the top of the wheels in the arches. But i just don't think it will happen.

please don't put 20s in that's like clown wheels

Haha wow its like they stole my vision

Personally I prefer an 18" wheel, I'd happily go down to a 17" but you don't get much room for bigger brakes. Having a bit of sidewall I'd benifical and has a harder look IMO. Rubber band tyres are for posers.

Rubber band tires are fine this is only going to be low and slow N/A Auto.

Im not looking for a high horse power 1/4 mile car just something to cruise about in. :thumbup1:

19's for a 2+2 and 18's for a 2+0 is my preference (depending on the nature of the use of the car, my preference is purely aesthetic)

I think as long as your careful you can get away with 19s, some good examples right there. 20"s though, no thanks. Even some 19s depending on design and what profile you select CAN look rubber bandy.
