i am going to have a bit of a rant. so firstly because im uneducated and its commonly known ,on here please forgive me know for me grammer. ect.

rant start.

please can, unless we get to know a persons personality. of witch takes times and conversation like, the way, i cant spell or what ever, me and funki si, know we can take the piss out of each other,or ill pick up on his stuff he putts up on her weather or not i think its right, and have a good laugh.. but that said i am an ayefest and have so many and personal feelings and belives and if was alloewd to speak publically how i feel. then i would not only cause harm to someone that i could quiet honestly cause a rioet.espacally the post that came up about ireland. i think to close to the mark in my opion. i think people on here should take the take back two steps, and think about what there saying, because it can hurt somone . or we have to have a public meeting on how we can say something without being closed up. i think personally the club needs a new rules and guide lines. see im a manager off shore and i work by the book. if i dont, them there is a hudge potentall for a hazard. the hazard being, somthing with the potental to cause harm. thats fact. so my point. if you have a point to be bought up about anyone, on here be it a trader or someone ,ie a member,then there is a non biase , place or a link were we as a whole should be able to say how we feel ect, the mods then can collectavally look at the complaints. or comments good or bad and advice befor we place what everon here. even if its a link were we can post somthing . then the mods can look at it and untill its got clearance can be made public.most of the time i think a place just to right somthing to have a constructive moan without getting riddiculed by upsetting someone or somthing. just a thouht. i do think with thou the amount of internet puplic opinons we need to keep this place a happy place, but we are human and we need and feel to protect our mates and fello men weather its good or neg comments against fellow members or traders or cylcalist of anybody we love or hate ,or just venting off some steam. of whitch if we had such a place, then at least then thers a common ground, to vent and to rethink ,and maybe appolagise and put right first. after all ,how many wars in this world and rows with her in doors have being about somthong small and stupid then got out of control. that said we need to comunicate without being shut up. any constructive comments wellcome. i love this place and spend most of my nights on here whilst watching tv. so i do want whats best for this place , but i also feel we need to move on, to grow, that said . please only consructive comments will help all of us.

Well said Spin, I know Bird will feel awful to think he has overstepped the mark with the IRA reference, but it is easy to type quickly but think slowly,. I made a regretful comment on a post of Si's about a fat american, not thinking anything of it, without considering, Si personally knew the woman :blush: What a Knob I felt.

What does get to me is if something goes wrong everybody jumps on that thread and has a say which is ok but if you have good news for the Members which the Committee has put a lot of time and money into that thread is overlooked with no posts saying well done. Such is life and I am to hairy arsed to care lol.The good news thread is here :biggrin: and I did get a few thanks and likes from it.

look this wasnt about bird funki si or anyone on here. we all just click away, but what im trying to say is if we feel strongly enough about somthing or somone would it be good good or not to know that i could unbiased and just right / vent some frustration on here knowing that if there was a place then,. i could have a constructive reply back saying . look dude, were here for you. and were going if there a member, to comunicate with said parties to clear this up. and also i think. once sompeople have said ther bit in private to an othorative member then thats also enough. i also think, have being on her a number of years that and watched peploes comments . that had they gone through a chain or an action then the genral public can and poss would or could not have added, or wound up or changed the out come or advents. or indeed shrected them. so lets keep stuff factull. just a thought.,

like i say. i wasnt talking about bird or funki si or anyone. tonight or yesterday. im just saying why is it cant we have a contructive groan on here.without upsetting someone. we live in this todays tech and i personally will not allow my children any muti media facebook ect accountt because they will be held acountable for anything they say , these days,but to live life as we do on here need to argue the toose over somthing because where adults,and there should be a place to do .in my opion. thats it. to take away the negative and placeit somwere constructive. like you have a unbiase joke thread bit. so no one gets affended.

First and foremost. I'm sorry to anyone I may have upset. I have now edited my post.

 

I know the whole thread isn't aimed at me but feel since it was my post that seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back so to speak, I thought Id comment.

 

I've been on here for quite some time and more than most these days and never had an issue with any of the committee, mods or general members. As Gary said, he knows what I'm like and no malice is ever I any of my posts.

 

Once again, I'm sorry if I upset anyone by my joke, I never watch the news or anything so don't know much about what's going on in the world if anything. In regards to taking the piss or having a bit of banter... I think that's one of the things that makes this forum a good place to frequent. Mot of my posts are a little joke like and if I was to only post factual stuff, I'd probably not have much to say are wouldn't post a lot. With that in mind, ill obviously think about my posts a bit more but obviously on this occasion it was in response to Gary who knew I was just trying to have a laugh.

To touch on this and bring into it a recent topic and comment. When discussing the lowering of the speed limit on the M1 we got into the idea of raising the limit to 80mph on motorways. One of the reasons it was dropped was because "it would alienate women drivers", let's explore this sentiment, what were saying here is that to be fair to women we shouldn't drive too fast as it's unfair. That is both stupid and sexist! It's a perfect example of how political correctness tries so hard, it tries too hard and it itself becomes predujuice.

What I'm saying here is over thinking these things, make a big deal of the little things is worse than letting them slide sometimes. A word is mearly a mearly a word, it's context and intent that gives it weight. In short a joke is a joke, and if no ones offended it is simply a joke. If you are offended by a joke maybe you need to step back and think just as much as the person who made the joke, was it a joke? Was it funny? Was any harm meant? Life is short, humour is king sometimes we don't need to be so serious.

If someone is over the line a simple, your over the line there buddy is enough to reflect it and spur an apology. Chill your a long time dead, there's proper issues in the world to worry about, bad jokes arnt one if them.

Whilst we have certain rules and expectations etc. to abide by, we try not to lose sight of the fact that this is an internet forum and we are all here to enjoy ourselves; and celebrate our mutual fondness for the 300zx... Sure, sometimes we might have to edit the odd post (usually because it's a fact of life nowadays that someone, somewhere, might take offence at something not necessarily aimed at them personally); you all get the idea:wink:

 

But let's not lose sight of that reason - we're all here to enjoy ourselves; indulge in the banter and appreciate our mutual hobby!! It's a veritable jungle out there in the real, non-300zx world....:scared:

Can I just point out that the beloved 'Z' comes from a foreign land, there are lots of 'Z's' in this country that are immigrants or have sought asylum due to their poor treatment in their own countries as well as the ones here from birth.....

They come in many shades and colours and no 2 are the same.........

Please respect other 'Z's' and their cultural backgrounds as they just want to be safe and loved in our wonderful country.......

Please celebrate the 25th year of our 'Z' and respect it's cultural diversity and heritage........
