Are yours in good condition Ian? You could get them dipped.

Im keeping that as a last resort tom, if i cant find any carbon ones ill get em dipped.

Zthirtytwo.com make them there not listed on there website at the min but I'm sure if you email them they can get hold of them they are good price as well

Hold out for a real carbon fibre set, dont put a carbon fibre sticker on yours!

There are plenty about, should come up for sale sooner or later.

This!! ^^

Sorry guys dont agree with you in this case, carbon scuttles look the part, roobarb has the ones with the kevlar weave and they look fantastic.

Carbon all the way for me im afraid.

Si i have painted my tow eyes black though.

problem with OEM ones is though, they discolour and rot. I've had mine for 4/5 years, they are already starting to degrade.

Ive seen 2 sets of these fitted...the thing that put me off buying was the spacing on the rails was too far apart and unless you fitted some kind of mesh under them then you could see right into the skuttle area which always has faded paint and not pleasing to the eye.

Yeah. If I ever take mine off I will put some black mesh behind it. Was gonna do it in the 1st place but we test fitted them and couldn't be bothered taking them back off.

I just don't care for the look of carbon fibre and I think the Z32 is a bit too old for it. But that's just me; it's a bit like putting a pair of Oakleys on the Mona Lisa. Looks out of place. Glad you painted the tow eyes! Makes a nice difference and smartens up the back end really well!

:rofl::rofl:...i need to see this...Simon??????

I like it... Stuff it, I'm getting some carbon scuttles and a modern mona.

I did warn you that I'd wee in your slippers PolioJ!

There is a difference between the two as you can see in the pic below. The spacing is bigger in the CF scuttle so to combat this I painted inside the scuttle area mat black to hide the inside better and will be putting some mesh in it also. So for me the CF ones are staying as they do look great fitted.

All this red area inside the scuttle was painted mat black.

I love your Zed Gary, but have to say new oem scuttles would look so much better IMO.

The pics I put up dont do it justice Daffy but I see where you are coming from as new oem would look great but after a few years they would start to go of again and I want this car to out live me :wheelchair:

Mine still look like brand spankers! ;)

Yours is garaged and does hardly any miles Gary (like Si's) they'll be just fine :-)

Mine actually gets quite a bit of use actually! But I'm selective when I drive it! :p

I did 3,500 miles in it last year. :)

You know what I mean Funky one. It's not out in all weathers is it? I bought new, they aren't expensive and looked fandabbydosie :-)

Guessing they suffer from bleaching and brittleness in the long run, but that won't effect yours or Gary's. Two fine examples indeed.
