Recently i bought a truck with a tap on the motor for the right price so i thought ide have a bash at an easy fix and replace the camshaft that had a flat lobe, also removed the front engine cover and replaced the timing chain along with a few other small bits like valve stem seals ect. Built the motor back up and she started first time like a good one BUT still had the tap:confused: Thats all i need for an excuse to get dirty so out comes the motor and tears it down to be greeted with this:eek:...Reason being some knob jocky had used too much jointing compound on the block to mains crank cradle and had blocked up number 2 under crown piston oil squirter and over heated the same said piston. Luckly a light hone will bring the cylinder back and the crank needs a polish. Full rebuild kit including 4 pistons..all the plain bearings..oil seals..rings and gaskets to OEM quality only £260,lot cheaper than a zed i hear you say:tt2:

little behind on the pics as these are weeks old but the truck motor is now 250 miles old and ticking along like a Singer sawing machine plus sailed through MOT with no advises. Even managed to shoehorn a Zed steering wheel into it to make me feel at home:beta1:... will update new pics in next couple of days for those interested in things Mechanical
