Which exhausts make the best sound for the LWB tt z?

I was thinking about this, I have a mongoose quad exit exhaust, while I really like the look of it, it doesn't quite have the noise at low revs

Had a look at Funkysi 's and birds exhaust, not liking the look of them much. Like the quads too much I think to change them. Might try and take the centre box's off or something

Unless I made some custom ones coming out of the bonnet, that would look cool

You don't like inoffensive quality systems yet you want to cobble together some nonsense to stick out of the bonnet? Either you were being sarcastic or you're just plain weird!

that does look gay I have to say. but deffo keep the quad boxes it look so much better than single one

my side exit is a modified Kakimoto bolted to a pair of stainless 3 hole decats...after 4000 rpm it screams like a GSXR. i love it and it turns me on hence why i always drive with my window down:w00t:

My NA has super megaphones fitted, still with cats, sounds fairly quiet on idle can almost count the firing strokes at the rear, sounds good under load though, wait and see what they sound like after TT conversion before I decide if I keep them.

Should sound better with a TT in there. NAs can be quite raspy and droany. It will sound much deeper and smoother with the TT in there.

mongoose all the way

Fitment is dire Apparently.

Yes, that's something I hear on US forums, but Australian forums give another story, for some fitment is not the best but nothing that can't be easily fixed, much simpler that building custom setup. For the money they ask, I'm not looking for perfection.

Mongoose and Japspeed are too much stock for my taste, SZ is to expensive B&B I like, but it's on upper price side and everyone says that it drones between 2000 and 3000 rpm. That's something I got now and I hate it. Also I would like to have quad exhaust tips. AMS fits in money and style range. It's just that I found only two videos with it.

Just going for a quite exhaust. It's the style that was on it originally so still has big s/s tips going for doubles instead of the quads

Also with the new bumper you cannot see the boxes etc

Made by apexi iirc

They're slightly lighter, but that's a poor excuse for downgrading. Dave's car is full of ICE and bodykit (a nice), but pointless buying weight saving parts. lol

Ice is going to lol but it's not for weight just making the car more practical

Sounds like you're going to go through a lot of hassle for absolutely no gain and de-specification....

no fussed about "de specking " its an exhaust they do the same job and its out of view so no worry's difference is one is really quite and just sounds sporty and I will not mind using everyday :)

Not a big job its really easy and take 20min tops, but its all got to come off anyway for the diff and clutch change

I like my veilside exhaust but I do like the look of quad exhausts. But you were asking about sound weren't ya, so in that case the veilside one is lovely

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

I have been listening to 300zx sounds on You Tube and the two best in my opinion are the Greddy Twin exit and the 5ziegen Twin exit.

Both these sound excellent on idle and not too loud when pootling about but on full throttle the V6 sounds immense!

Still seems like a complete waste of time and effort. Oh well. :)

Not if I have a nice quite enjoyable ride :)

I agree. I am 32 now and I dont mind loud cars but if I am just out for a drive with the missus I want to be able to talk to her in the car!
