how much do 99 spec front head lights cost and who sells them. only ever seem them for silly money on z1 web site

Car Mad does the inserts, Baz. The issue would be getting a proper chromed finish on them without breaking the bank... :(

A lot of money for silver inserts.....I think the black ones look better anyway.

A guy I work with has a machine if you YouTube spectra chrome,

I've not seen the finish in real life but it looks chrome to me and works on plastic etc.

If anyone needs anything I can ask him...

I got some and just had them sprayed silver... I think they look good.. one thing however, the 99 high beam section is smaller than the standard and so the projection section isn't exactly the right size.

This (luckily) is hard to notice..

Oh and our new headlight refit expert (redwine300) is always on had to offer advice.. :D

and yes I installed the inserts myself and can also offer some pointers :) (as there are a couple of things you need to be aware of)

yes thay do look good I agree. its a shame the main beam is a little blocked you cant really tell in the pic but when using the main beam do it mess up the projection of the light on the road ?

I haven't noticed an issue really... and since I have HIDs as dipped and have done the mod so they don't turn off when the mains come on.

There are 2 types of 99-spec lights: factory HID which have the silvery finish and non-HIDs which are as far as I can see the same as normal.
