You don't need spring clamps on the meisters to remove the springs. The preload is set by the spring seat locking collars, all you have to do is undo the locking nut and wind it down out of the way, then undo the base spring nut until there is no spring tension.

What do you re set the load too, I've stripped down hundreds of normal shocks and springs but no coilovers...

Are they just tightened up to the springs not loose thats where im lost,

I could measure the locking collar to the bottom of the shock.

But I didnt want to mess with them to much lol...

Few more pics of the zed, its nearly back together now, got to fix my wiring loom, put the windows in and the radiator etc,

Took bumpers back off to make sure everything is ok,

Hopefully over the next week or two I might get to start it,

Tried a new wheel on there been in my bedroom about a year lol, it fits ok...

We didn't forget to paint behind the back bumper, we painted it black thought it would look cleaner from underneath lol...

Hi guys got this back today, I bought it new about a yr or so ago,

I decided I'd paint it so I put some adhesion promoter on it and then high build primer and painted it myself big mistake lol, then my bro in law painted it,

It spider web cracked I put it on to thick and used no plasticiser,

So bro in law sorted getting it back off instead of da sander he Got it bead blasted with glass and water,

It came back with no paint at all but had a little texture to it so I took it to work today and da sanded with 180/240/320/400/600 lol and its came up better then new...took bloody all day what a mission,

Now his gonna paint it again properly without me messing it up.

Heres a few pics

So if u need your bumpers stripped back I recommend bead/soda blasting works great...
