It is absolutley georgeous and mad .

It does need a few tiny bits doing to make it pristine but it just exudes quality all round.

in its career it has done a couple of hundred rallies. The current owner has had the car about 10 years.

A google search will bring up pictures etc.

Just a couple of weeks ago it did a demo run and was on display during the Rally GB Wales.

And let's not forget that engine was used in the mighty Jag XJ220.....:cool:

I hate the Metro, but LOVE the 6R4. That thing looks ace Pete. They sound amazing and look crazy - in a good way. I used to have 'Rally International' Scalextrix when I was a kid which included an Audi Quattro and a Metro 6R4. I wish I still had it, those 2 cars, as in real life, are highly collectable.

 

Class cars, saw a couple at Goodwood this year - the first time ever in the flesh since lusting over them as a kid :D

Shame these Group A cars got banned they were proper beasts, however as much as I love the cars of this ere in rallying its still a metro, when you consider the others around at the time SWB Quattro, RS200 etc the phrase " you cant polish a turd" springs to mind. Mind you I used to own a metro when I was young and it was a hateful thing so my judgement may be clouded ????

The funniest bit about that is that it's a 5 door!

The rs200 was my favourite of those cars.
