I've finally managed to process some of my pics I took in Japan in early July...thought I'd share a few that I think came out quite nicely.

I'm no pro and my camera sensor has dust on it (annoying!) so excuse the imperfections!

Awesome Vig! I am 'potentially' going there next year to meet Yutaka Katayama and various other directors from Tomei, Nissan and Yokohama. For those that don't know, Yutaka Katayama is seen as the father of the Z car (AKA Mr. K). I've always wanted to visit Japan as I love the culture and the food, this seems like a very good excuse to finally visit!

You'd better get a bend on as he is 104!

Indeed! Mike Taylor is planning a trip for next year and we had talks about it at Branson Z Fest in Missouri back in June.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like!

Si - that's awesome!!

This is the trip I might be doing next year. Mike only takes over a select number of people and he's already said yes to myself and a couple of guys from ProjectZ32 in Phoenix. The cost is very high, I think some $4,000 (not including flights), but so much is crammed in, luxuary hotels, a huge number of special trips and a visit to the Nissan Heritage museum that is via 'invite-only'...it's one of those 'once in a lifetime' trips.

Vig, you'll have to show me the rest of your photos when you're this way next or I'm round your neck of the woods. Japan absolutely fascinates me.

Thanks again for the comments guys.

I saw the NI thread before I went though I was sorely disappointed at not seeing many nice cars out there at all. I'm convinced they only congregate at meets out of town as I was downtown in each City I visited and actively kept my eyes and ears open for sightings of them!

The photos I've posted here don't do Japan any justice - one of the nicest places I've visited and the people are the most honourable and friendly I've ever met. A real pleasure to interact with them!

Well let's face it, other than the GTR and Z cars, nothing exciting has come out of Japan since the Supra really. So I guess seeing anything interesting, as you've suggested would be down to meets or events.

They certainly look pro to me! Thanks for posting them. Awesome!!

Ide never go...those big Japanese hornets that can recognise faces scare me:eek:
