After the success of the Trentham classic car show there seems to be some interest in the event at Shugborough Hall, Staffordshire

This is another large show, 1000+ vehicles, organised by the same promoters as Trentham Gardens

Shugborough Hall is a large National Trust Stately Home set in rural Stafforshire. It is particularly nice for families as the hall has a 'working' olden days farm and kitchens where the staff are dressed up in period costume showing how life was lived back in the day

Info on Shugborough is here : http://www.shugborough.org.uk/Homepage.aspx

Info on the car show is here : http://www.transtarpromotions.com/ShugboroughHall2013.html

Shugborough Hall is situated approx 6 miles from J13 of the M6

I requested some info from the orgaisers, as follows

Hi Richard

Thank you for your email and glad you all enjoyed the day at Trentham Gardens last weekend.

10 cars will be fine for a club stand at Shugborough.

Entry fee is £3.50 per exhibit which allows driver plus one other adult and up to two children under 16 into the event but they must be in the vehicle coming in.

Entries usually close on this event four weeks beforehand due to the popularity of the event.

Entry includes access to the grounds and gardens. Entry to the mansion house and working farm is at additional cost.

Linda

Now bear in mind this event clashes with 'Zedfest'.

I would like to attend (and my car should be fixed well before then ), and I believe there are a few others already wishing to exhibit.

If there is sufficient interest we need to be booking a club stand within the next couple weeks. I will also post up details for this show on zclub.net

Had a really good day today and Julie also enjoyed chilling out and reading her book (when she wasn't up front promoting the Z bless her)

Guess thats the last of the big car West Midlands shows for me this season (but watch his space next year!!) I'm looking forward to the Chester - New Brighton run 1st Sept and I really wanna get to JAE but I'm on holiday in Torremolinos 2nd-13th Sept so if I make it then it's gonna be the last day

Here's a slideshow of the pics I took at the show.... Just some cars that caught my eye plus the ones I uploaded on this thread but in higher resolution and a few more of our stand previously not uploaded

Feel free to link this album from your facebook or whatever and 'like' it :)

Actually come think about it is does this site have it's own facebook page?

Agreed!!

It was a great day - thanks for organising Rich!! And it was a real pleasure to meet you after all these years working together on the forum Bri - Julia and I really enjoyed the house tour with you and your family mate.... Christine is lovely and Nicole is a real credit to you you both!!

Hell, I best get my pics up soon...

Good call on getting away at a reasonable hour too mate; there was trouble on the M40 after Oxford so whilst we made good time to there, the last 20 miles took ages and we didn't get home until 6.45. I should have left the M-way at Oxford and driven cross country - especially as once we got to the "incident" there was actually nothing happening to explain the damn tail-back!!!

Never mind; it didn't spoil the day. Good venue, great company and some fantastic cars - not just on our own stand either!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Agreed!!

Was great meeting Julia and youself mate and really enjoyed the day.

Chris and i were still giggling in bed last night at the "play acting" of the maids....at one point they had me feeling sorry for them ffs:lol::lol:. Also for your information Richard Christine would love to meet Julia and yourself for another day out sometime mate, and i can count on 1 hand the number of times she has said that after meeting somebody new.
