  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Continued my retrofit installation of the running lights on the Z this afternoon. Same as what I did to the front but this time on the rear side markers.

Mine were not illuminated and I decided to build a loom and integrate these into the cars existing loom. Have to get some bulbs and will take a few photos later on when it's dark.

If there's enough interest I can do a how to guide as I took photos all the way through.

Also removed my horrific rear fog bulb that had been bodged into the O/S reverse light and wiring through the car.

Now no Fog but I have plans to build a new central pod on the rear bumper similar to the RX-8's.

Well after Chrisbasildon sorted the transmission for me, she felt slower than I remembered.... But enjoyed driving to work for 2 days....

The boost gauge wasn't working and EBC did nothing. A bit of checking pipework revealed I had pinched the vacuum pipe under the glove compartment when I refitted the wooden cover over the ECU.

After releasing the vacuum hose and going for a spin, I had to return home to change my underwear.... I have got too comfortable in a 4wd Audi..... Rear end breaking away caught me out.... but fun.... lol

Today I took her out for a spin after work and realised why I love my Z...... I still have a vacuum leak somewhere as she keeps stalling when I come to a stop, but I know I need to replace the hardened rubber hoses in the engine bay.

I am soooooo loving having her back on the road, I don't want to drive the Audi at the minute...... Sorry, can't stop smiling......

This is properly good to read!!

I've come to work in it today and just resubbed for another year on here!

Just finished fitting the new perspex strip with light and new emblem. I am confused as to why Nissan decided to not put the holes required in the bootlid to fit the strip.. I guess it wasn't a part on the series one, but the Dremel was put to use..

Finally its installed..

This brings me on to my next puzzle...

My original perspex strip always had the indentation where the brake light is integrated in to it.

However, when I removed it, I was fairly suprised to find the strip actually has a light in it too.

The original bulb holder was used but the bulbs had blown..

The thing that is baffling me is, why would you have a brake light that no light can penetrate?

Held up to the light or a torch shone through and there's nothing...

So why would there be lenses etc if the bulbs won't light up visibly anyway???

My bonnet did this, was gutted. Still got to sort that out long term.

Couldn't resist trial fitting my new spoiler..

More pics!! They fit like a glove done they. Well worth the money in my opinion!

The last few weeks have been spent taking the bonnet insulation of and cleaning the underside before putting my new insulation on.

Cheers pal, can't remember what mine looks like at present, but I do remember when Advance Tyres put 8 litres of oil in the original engine and blew oil and the engine everywhere:scared::thumbdown:

Looking sweet gaz.. .

I finally managed to get the valve caps off that had welded themselves on.. Had to gringo them off with a Dremel! Cheaper than the £50 the local tyre centre wanted to replace the valves...

Good news is that after finding the tyre pressures were all below 24 psi and varied wildly on each wheel, after inflating to the correct pressures, the steering slop has more or less gone!!

On another note, the spare parts I have left from the breaker are very likely soon going to be taking a trip to the recycle centre as I need the space back.

I've posted a for sale thread in the parts section, so if anyone is in need of these bits or wants spares, please don't hang around as they will be scrapped which would be a shame.

There's various bits including a bonnet, fuel tank with straps amongst the bits..

Get in there if you want anything, prices are cheap
