• We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

That looks lovely [emoji41] I'd try IPA for the marks on the glass Paul.

Greene King? I didn't realise ale could be used Joel?

Seriously, what's IPA?

Didn't get as far as the HD wax but enjoyed washing jae off her and then a good going over with some super resin Polish and a coat of fast wax. Fast glass on the windows too..

Not bad for an old girl huh?

Quick question though folks.

I seem to have something that looks like watermarks on the glass? Glass cleaner doesn't want to shift them so wondering if anyone else has had this and might know a trick to remove them?? I had thought about trying the Polish but don't want to damage the glass

Take that bailiff notice off your front door :D

Wish I could.. Its for the postman so he doesn't keep banging on the door to deliver parcels.. I get them to lock stuff in the trailer instead. Not sure if my posty can read though as he still bangs on the door several times and sends the dog mental.. By the time I get to the door he's usually gone..

The life of a night worker...

It's OK, the Google Gods have helped out.. I tried Guinness but it just made the paintwork taste good.. Lol.

I'm assuming that you mean isopropyl alcohol Joely?

Stripped all the panels from the rear seats back, found an original toolbag with rusty tools but that's about as interesting as it gets. The bolts for the bumper spin with the nuts so its going to be a pain to get it off. The strosek lights are a right bodge job also.

Say if you need anything.

I'm assuming its an ABS solenoid of sorts in the boot?

Get a Dremel on the bumper bolts Ali.. It'll be off in seconds.. Just put a new set of holes through the bumper and fibreglass them in place. Or use captive bolts that bite in to the bumper and then . Glass them in.

I had the same problem with the bumper lip on the blue one but it's off now and ready for paint and fitting to mine

OK, this isn't the place to post this but I'd like to bring this to everyone's attention if I can.

I have posted a thread in the events section of the forum, I need to get a feel for the amount of people who will be interested in attending and would like to get as many as possible involved. So if you're interested in a great road trip event for the club next year, then please do look at the thread and give your interest and input.

Fantastic roads, a nights camping and great fun to be had, not to mention some of the best photo opportunities in the UK..

So do please have a read and add your comments so I can gauge the interest correctly and get a plan in motion.

There is a small quantity of cabins available for those who don't do tents but availability will be limited.

Anyways, have a gander and give us your feedback if you would be so kind..

I can bring a dremel over for the bolts if you need, but wont be until next week now.

I removed my "upgraded" rear wiper (the Laguna one) and reinstated the OEM version instead. I decided I preferred the "minimalist" look of the original wiper, complete with hybrid-style wiper-blade.......

......So if anyone would like a Laguna rear wiper, I have an almost brand new one up for grabs...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

....Oh, and I also made use of my new, super soft, dust-cover when putting the Zed back in the garage....

Didn't like that Laguna rear wiper Rich it looked out of place so glad to see an oem back on mate. Where did you get the indoor cover from?

I know what you mean Gary - that little over-hang at the base just didn't look quite "right" when viewing the car from the rear. It was starting to bug me, to be honest...

I bought this cover - saw it advertised in a classic car magazine

http://www.cardustcovers.co.uk/car_covers/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=127

It's soft enough so as not to scratch paintwork when covering/removing, yet heavy enough to sit properly. Despite being "large sports car" sized, it doesn't quite reach the floor at both front and rear. But it does the job of keeping the car dust-free in the garage!

I see they list it as a Datsun 300zx along with the Datsun 350z which is £10 cheaper. Its £57 to my door so I must compare it with a few others I have been looking at Rich :thumbup1:

I think the 350z is smaller..... Although you do have a SWB, so that size might be sufficient...

Joel bought a decent indoor cover at the NEC show - ask him if he still has the company's details Gaz. I don't think Joel's cost quite as much....!

Thread now reopened again!! Rich or maybe it was me accidentally closed it
