  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Just got in the car to go to work and sure enough the fuel light is lit without the lights on! I wonder what's gone on there then? I'm sure it wasn't lit like that before I had the dash out.. Any clues groover?

For gods sake man, haha, there are 4 bulbs and these illuminate the needles and gauges as Groovy Graham as said, these will not 'bleed' and light up the fuel symbol because this has it's own little channel the light travels down, unless you've not fit the little blue iirc ring on it's top against the dial.

You do not need a particularly bright bulb or much light to light up the fuel symbol.

Agreed - probably the best front end mod IMO.....:bow:

I'll second that ;)

Popped up to LA Autos today. Lee sorted out a nice pair of Mongoose cat backs for me.

As usual Lee went out of his way doing some little jobs including swapping over my rear panel sp Phutumsh can work his magic next.

The original back boxes were mint. Keeping them for now :-)

That's it now Chris!! You've caught the bug!! Bank balance will go from full to empty as quick as a Z32 fuel tank:lol:

Good call mate!

The Mongoose enhances that "stock" look, but adds a little purpose...... It's a nice sound, without being too intrusive:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Always a pleasure Chris..Glad to get rid of the stock fart cans :)

That looks great Tom! Finished your car off a treat! Amazing what you've done to this considering what it was when you bought it! A Z saved and saved very well! :)

The front plate doesn't spoil it too much

Hi Tom.Did you think about removing the air guides from the ic area ...IMO i reckon would look better and some more flow :)

Hi mate, that was the original plan but decided against it as I wasn't 100% sure it'd look right.

That looks perfectly fine mate. You can't get in trouble for that either.

Yeh it's a legal plate, I did want a 5 digit private plate to go even smaller but this one was a bargain.

Cheers Si, it really has finished the outside off nicely, still looking for a twinz roof spoiler though.

Double-check on FB, Tom - Geordie French's SWB has a 2+2 Twinz roof spoiler, but I don't know if it's already been snapped up!

Didn't know it was a lwb one, will have a look thanks mate.

That looks really smart Tom, did you put a small lip on the bottom of the stillen or is that part of it done in black??

I like the air guides left in mate, looks very OEM+:thumbup1:

Yes Rich, spot on mate, that's what I wanted, as close to stock looks but felt the original cans lacked the burble I like so much. Lee knew my preference for stock and proposed the Mongoose cat backs as a compromise between performance pipes and original. I kept the original cans in case I wish to change back at any time, however I'm enjoying the Buzz from the back end already:-)

Simply stunning Tom, a credit to the Z community. Looks as fresh as if it just rolled off the production line!

This is the front end I want!! I'll just have to be patient and wait for one to cone along............it's gonna be a long wait!

Well done mate.

Cheers guys. The black lip on the bottom is part of the stillen lip & has just been painted black.

That looks great Tom! Finished your car off a treat! ...........

I agree - and those side-skirts also complement the Stillen lip nicely. Fine looking Zed indeed Tom.....

Busy again today! Took a drive down to meet up with Andy Puttick at fleet services to collect the conzult and had a good chat. Lovely fella, very good to chat with a knowledgeable mind face to face..

When I got home I got back to work on my new sidelight and indicator panels. Managed to finish them off and now got to wait for a dry day to get the front bumper off to fit them! So roll on June! Lol..

Had my mate hold the venom light panel that I carbon wrapped against the car so I could finally get a good look at how it would blend in against the centre panel.

I don't think it looks odd at all.. The carbon is very dark and matches the gloss black of the centre panel really well..

I think I've made my mind up to go with the carbon wrap now..
