  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Adding stuff

Removed front bumper again and fitted intercooler ducting, the fog lights fell into multiple pieces, Chrisbasildon dropped off my new side skirts...... .... thanks again Chris..... Top :nana2::dance:.... lol

Had a visit from the lovely 'Craig' family for a cuppa and to pick up his new acquisition.....

Then I refitted the horns properly behind the front bumper and realised my bonnet is bent upward a bit in middle as though pushed backward, my n/s/f wing is not straight and the gap between the wing and door is miles out at the top..... Looks like someone has pushed the front whilst it has been laid up on my driveway.... The gap on wing to door is huge at top and non existent at bottom now......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

this can happen iff you,ve been jacking the car up on the front nissan jack points (sill/lower wing)

Only problem is that I jacked it on the main chassis rail as always..... I noticed the veilside bumper had split where it was bonded to the wing when I removed it.... but just thought it was due to body flex....

going to have to check what has happened when I get the side skirts and wing off this week....

Any idea how or if this can be rectified??

Car is out for the JapFest be nice to meet some of you. I did try to blast the cobwebs out on my trip to Kent and Surrey with the roofs off but sadly I will have to get cleaning for the show.

About time! What's each one rated to? (hp or cfm)

Who knows! These are just for placement as my manifolds are being meticulously created from scratch.

I will be going for twin GT3582R with a fully-built drag-spec PowerZed engine

Finally got the zed up on ramps and tightened the squeeling belt that's been driving me mad since i bought it - i've only done 2k in 3 years so it's not bothered me that much till now :D haha

Got my girl a new bootlid and fibreglass spoiler from Mark to replace the rotten soggy sponge that was on there before. The bootlid even stays up on it's own now! Also found out I don't have a power steering hose leak after all....I just need a jap spec alternator belt as their smaller than the uk spec one I had bought.

Spent the entire day at Jimmer's. Helped him fix a customer's leaky targa which was a success, then went amount working on my Z. My cam belt was done 8 years ago when Jim built the engine, despite the car only covering 20k since, I thought it time to get it replaced and get all the tensioners checked. The belt looked fairly new still with no signs of wear or weathering (the car is kept in a very dry environment), but it was replaced anyway. Top idler was replaced, complete coolant flush which was very much required!! It will have another change soon as it was well over due and I want the system squeaky clean!

Also replaced the ARB bushes at the front and new drop links. Drop links didn't really need replacing, but they were anyway, the bushes did. Next visit will be after I return from the US and that will be to fit all my new rear end bushes and powdercoated arms etc, new joints, HICAS inners, plus my full Brembo brake upgrade, new servo, SS lines, single piece prop, transmission mount too.image.jpg
