  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I haven't got my adjustable arms on the yet so if the wheels were any further out they'd hit the wing.

Which spoiler Steve? Horseshoe still? Lol

That my friend is the million dollar question. The 99 spec is the sensible choice for your car but I think you like it less than I do. The horseshoe works esp on stanced cars. My favourite is the 89. Maybe it's a case if waiting for some rare JDM spoiler, there's a lovely veilside one but it's a nightmare to find.

Didn't do anything to the car really but did a 470 mile round trip yesterday and collected parts and other bits that was needed :)

Not me but Lee Dent has been working hard on my car. Alot of engine bling fitted, black plenum, plus stereo & new speakers.

.....shocks & lowered springs, gear shifter bushes, new diff fitted, installed boot panels, boost gauge, water temp gauge, there will probably be more by the time I pick her up.

Well Nearly finished the Clear Lens LED rear light conversions....... Pics of lights nearly back together.....IMG_0304.jpg

And a thank you to Mark Derby for sorting me out a replacement one, as one of them I bought from someone else on ebay arrived cracked......

Lots of polishing still to be done and some fettling on the marks left from opening them up ( heating up plastic and smoothing them off )......

Any advice on what polish to use on the clear lenses to get a nice finish??

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just wanted to say I am off to the Falklands today and don't know what the internet situation will be this time. Last time we had cheeky use of the engineer's company wifi but that has been stopped now as I understand it.

Anyway, I may not be on here and just in case I wanted to wish everyone a happy Christmas and New Year, as well as safe motoring over the winter, I don't want to come back next year and have 5 threads about panel beating and putting back wheels back on straight

I should have a good time, it is hardly a proper detachment (which makes sense because I am hardly in the military ) the weather will be half decent and I am with a good crew. Gym and Ukulele this time round, you don't get many call outs down there, last time the most interesting one was a Navy guy that fell over watching a CSE (forces entertainment) dancing girls show and knocked himself out!

Anyway, watch how you go guys :thumbup1:

Didn't do anything up my Z, but I did swap out the rear lights on Jimmer's Z and then promptly gave it a good polish. Came out pretty well!

This is most of the work Lee Dent did on my Zed. I got it back yesterday & it's like a completely different car to drive but also to be in as he's fitted a lot of missing interior panels. You wouldn't think this car was just a shell this time last year. I've got one more week to enjoy her before she goes away for winter!

A seldom seen beast of a car.

Just got back from a very nice long weekend in York.....

....And as ever, the ZX made the trip a breeze. It looked pretty good outside our hotel as well.....!!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Living the dream ey Rich. Wish mine was on the road :(

I do love a good road trip :)

Yup and yup.....

....So today, after covering almost 1100 miles, using it daily in the last 2 weeks, the Zed was in serious need of a wash. Which is what I did to it today.....

It would take me six months to do that mileage Rich  I need to get out in the Z more next year
