  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I used mine a little today - as we had to drop Julia's car at the local JLR dealership to diagnose an adblue fault.... 😞

.......But yesterday, we took the Zed on a 200 mile round trip to visit Bath Christmas market. It was the first test for my new tyres - and I have to say, on a wet M4, accelerating hard whilst changing lanes proved no issue for the big Bridgestones! I wish I could have said the same about the Michelin Pilot Supersports on my Z4 a week earlier on our (very spirited) drive to York!! #rear end out at XXXmph LOL

So far, so good; albeit it might be one of the last proper outings until spring - depending on the weather 😉

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

As I'm off today and the weather was nice, I gave my Zed a wash as it was covered in grime following the Bath trip on Sunday....

I then gave it a wipe-down with Chemical Guys Hydro Charge ceramic detailer. This is another great product from Chemical Guys, I'm under no illusion that it's a proper ceramic coating, but it does leave a good shine - and lasts at least a couple of months between treatments. I highly recommend it 🙂

Any excuse for some shiny Zed pics 😉

Dirty after a Bath 😂.

Just wonder if you need a 10 or 15mm spacer on the front 🤔.

Spacers would finish it off really nicely 👍🏽

15mm on the front and 5mm on the back! Looking good Rich!

Thanks Vig.... 🙂

I have been looking into everyone's suggestions about spacers - I'll measure the distance between the front wheel and edge of the arch, to see what will fit..... The rears are bang on the arches though - I think maybe the camera angles give different impressions!

I have found some Japspeed 15mm hub-centric spacers for about £75.... 😉

I left the Zed snug and dry in my garage yesterday, as the weather was pants - but I did take it out for a little spin when I did the Sainsburys run the other day.....

......Any excuse to post another shiny Zed pic under the car park lights 😄

Today, after returning from a little road trip to Malvern, I washed my Zed ready for the Chiltern Hills Rally this coming weekend......

They do get a little grimy down there....

....I replaced my airbox with a universal K&N cone some years ago - but rather than clean it, I just buy a new one every two years and throw the old one away.

Not today - but a couple of days ago - we took the Zed on a little drive in The Chilterns, stopping off at Waterperry....

Any excuse to share a couple of Zed pics in the sunshine

Washed and wiped down with Gtechniq C2 sealant......

After 2 weeks of daily driving, my Zed was a little dusty and dirty. So despite the hot weather, a good wash and top up of the paint protection was in order - all ready for Beaulieu in 3 weeks time 😉

Not that I ever need an excuse for some shiny Zed-pics LOL!!!

After far too long since I removed the rear subframe, I’ve finally got around to “starting” the refresh! So far so good other than one of the driveshafts refusing to separate from the hub, but I’ll bring some more manly tools home from work tomorrow to solve that!

Looking forward to getting it all back on the car and start enjoying it again. ☀️

Which make/supplier of aftermarket lower ball joints have you gone for?

Hi Andrew, I got these from Conceptua Tuning a while back. There’s nothing wrong with the ball joints currently fitted so they’ll probably go back in the parts box!

For the bushes, everything is stock OEM where available, otherwise they’re the NISMO variants.
