Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing, well he is not really into cars. But still happy. Enjoy

After the thread on Z-Spec vs Interior Innovations double-DIN radio bezels, I decided to take a punt and order the Z-spec version to replace my existing one..... I fitted it over the weekend - and have to say, it is very good indeed! The brackets are still rubbish though - they don't hold my Kenwood head unit in place as well as the Nissan OEM ones.

I also ordered a "300zx" etched clock blanking plate.... My clock gains a minute every couple of weeks, leaving the time out of sync with the radio display. My ODC finally got the better of me, so I can no longer be bothered to adjust it?

Yes your car is an 300nx.

Head unit looks good, I like having the clock but that's nice and simple what you have Rich.

Nice touches Richard. May I ask if the import duty is expensive? Cheers

Today, I took my Zed to the local garage for an oil change and MOT.....

....Passed with flying colours and no advisories. And I had managed to drive exactly 3,000 miles since last year's MOT as well.... ?

Another pass Richard and you have maybe done 2,000 miles more than me this year. We need to drive them more.

As it should be Richard.

Nothing for the last couple of days.....

....But on Sunday we visited the Oxford Christmas Market - and because Oxford city centre is not the most car-friendly of places, I decided to take the Zed (I know the best place to park LOL)...

Whilst there, we naturally bought a few bits - one thing being a bottle of artisan gin. The sales guy was pretty good at his pitch, but needn't have bothered, as the gin was lovely... And not only does this particular distiller plant a tree for every bottle sold, they also give you the unique code to follow "your" tree ?

So when said salesman said to me, after I handed over the money, that the planet would thank me for my actions - I could not restrain myself. I laughed and replied, "I doubt it, you should see what we're driving home in ? "

I was still grinning as we slowly burbled through the outskirts of Oxford, on the way back to the M40?

I always say I'm heating up the planet one gallon at a time. The winters are too cold anyway.... ??

So after last Sunday's little trip, we took another pre-Christmas jaunt in the Zed today, this time down to Bath.....

...Although it needs a damn good wash now, as it's covered in road grime! Still, on a slight detour home, via Bathampton, the chap collecting payments at the toll bridge was certainly taken with the Zed... "I'm F~~~ing loving that car" was among one of the things he said ?

Your bodywork will fade away to the ferrous ore from whence it came. ?

LOL - all cars will eventually..... and I still reckon there's little harm done on my two recent Sunday jaunts. It's been mild and wet here the last couple of weeks, so most remaining salt will have been washed away... He says, tentatively thinking back to when I last saw salt on the roads ?

Not sure on the edit though - I don't think I edited anything.... ?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

...And spurred on by Si's comments, I gave my Zed a thorough wash - including shampooing the underside (not that I am paranoid). I then blow-dried it with my leaf blower, just to be sure it wasn't still damp, before wiping it down with detailing spray and popping it safely back into the garage....!
