  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I took my freshly cleaned Zed out of the garage and gave it a nice coat of Chemical Guys Jetseal - the first of many now Zeddy is home.....

And just got it back in the garage before the rain started....

  • 2 weeks later...

Today, nothing as I was at work....

…..But I did not get online yesterday, as I was giving the Zed some more attention. I gave it a coat or two of Beading Marvellous Carnauba Wax, polished the tail pipes, installed the USB socket extension cable to the stereo and started refurbing the double-DIN radio surround.

I made the mistake of spraying it gloss black - not a great look TBH, so I'll be sanding it back and respraying it in satin black by next weekend...

Mid sheen finish is the way to go Richard, consider the bumper or trim black spray paints.

Good call Andy; thanks - I shall try that mate! Also, I'm guessing the bumper trim paints will also have a degree of flexibility in them, which will be handy when pulling the trim panel out on that odd occasion!

Richard, just get new ones whilst you still can!!!

They're not expensive and they're not going to be around for much longer. LHD have already gone NLA.

It wouldn’t be a double din then though. [emoji106]

Beat me to it JP....

My OEM one is still in very good condition - I kept it just in case I decided to return to single DIN. I currently have the Z-thirtytwo DD one, which has a slight crack due to the poor quality. I decided to give it a refurb, rather than spend £150 on a new one - which would probably crack again...

If you’re thinking about selling the tiered looking old seats in Zebedee let me know as I’d be interested in them.

Might be a bit late to mention this, but from experience I can tell you that spares will cost more than new Recaro Speed seats. :whistling:

Not replacing any foam?

Went out to see if mine needed charging after sitting in the garage for 6 months (blocked in by 20 tons of earth) but it started instantly! That's one hell of a battery. Hopefully can give it a clean tomorrow if I'm not too hungover
