  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Me and the Mrs went for a drive in mine today and then picked up the click and collect order from Tesco! Loads of questions about it from the lad giving me my food lol!

Started my winter prep' by cleaning and re greasing all the connectors under the bonnet.

Firstly the PTU, which hadn't be done for some time, good job really as the lower connector that is difficult to get to, was quite corroded.

I will work my way through them all over the next couple of weeks.

Preventative maintenance, you can't beat it.

What did I do today??? I drove my Zed 600kms all the way up to Bristol. So now Jimmer can do some things on my Z :-)

Following the generous help of wchestnutt, today we finally got the rear subframe out hoorah

Hope you had a safe trip back Mike. Nice meeting you.

Yes Ali, the trip back was a bit faster, 55minutes and I was back in Brussels :-)

Nice meeting you too mate ;-)

Mike

Had to get the Z out of the garage today as I needed to get my big wooden ramps out for the wife's car. Whilst it was out I gave it a wash and blow dry (no really, I did blow dry it!), decontaminated the front end and took care of all the stone chips and marked them up ready for shaving.

It's back in the garage now ready for a full decontamination, so I can get my swirl finder out and machine polish as necessary [emoji106]

To be fair, only a small corner of the car is on grass, so the front wheels of the jack (under the diff) were on concrete, and the back on grass. And I has some sheets down so i didn't get wet ;)

Manual box out next week :)

Bristol to Brussels in 55minutes? Didn't realise that space shuttles were an option for that journey haha.

I live in Folkestone & can't do Bristol To Dover in 55 mins!

Maybe means Calais to Brussels ?

 Obviously but it takes like 2-3hrs to get on the fricken plane. Took me 17 hrs to drive to London, fly to Edinburgh do two hours work then return journey home. I was in the air a total of 2 hours!

Not a cat in hells chance.

:surrender:

Flushed the radiator again, not ideal but I must have at least 75% fresh coolant in circulation by now!

Perfect excuse to go for a test drive in the night though. I love this car.

Drove it. (Yesterday) Opened the garage door and eased her into the Autumn sunlight then after a fill up of BP's finest it was a quick three figure dash down the M2 to visit family and home again. You forget how good these cars are when you don't drive them for a few weeks.
