  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Will do, got to fit them yet, when Lee has finished with the car it will have the blue flame exhausts on it that I got from Ted, but depending on how they look, I may change the boxes as I'm really wanting the flat ovals on there. I might even have them made to be changeable lol

That'll be kool. I love exhaust sounds!

Certainly not something I have done to my ZED today, however this is what happens when you park your ZED up in your factory and the staff have nothing better to do

Will be taking orders if anyone wants a set

Surprisingly not bad - not good idea to stand behind though as fumes are right at nose level lol

Horrific journey home was made enjoyable by the distinctive burble of the sweetest V6 sound and the turbos... Omg the turbos!! Punchy, responsive and the sound that comes from the straight through pipes is amazing..

I'm skint and I forgot my wedding anniversary, so the danglys are sore but the smile is massive!

Even back in time for a (late) family lunch, ready for classic sports by the lake tomorrow.

Box runs sweet now, alot smoother than before.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

With regret to post... I think this new box is now cooked as well...

By the end of the journey it grinds in pretty much every gear, but quietens out at higher revs.

Just hope the box can last a few trips a year, don't really want to put another auto box in it.

Just my luck

Did you use your own t/c or use the one that came with the good box...reason i ask is a lot of guys dont change the t/c too and 9 times out of 10 its full of debri from the screwed box.

The one that came with the box. And before anyone asks, I've checked the fluid level and it's still good

Seems to be the way of things. I can't really remember the last time I heard anyone say that changing an autobox was successful, only ever temporarily. This is one of the reasons I personally would just say, it's time to go manual.

It worked beautifully for the way up there, I just can't believe that it could run so well and then just spontaneously fail.

I rekon I could probably do most of the box swap myself now, but don't really want to.... I'm guessing the box swap if pretty much the same changing auto to manual just changing the flex plate to a flywheel. Only wouldn't know what to do for wiring but I think I might have to go for it, if I find a suitable manual box + accessories for a reasonable price.
