  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Did you check your over flow/ expansion pipes mate?

Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to look at my spare zed ovef the weekend as been stupidly busy but if you definitely need the parts let me know and I will check when I get home from work tomorrow.

I did indeed, thanks mate - and yes; Andrew was correct! The tank is fine, the garage forgot to connect the overflow hose....

.....They did it for me on Saturday morning, but sadly stretched the hose too much that it split... They are making good on Wednesday. Sure it's frustrating for me - but my local village garage are not Zed experts; however they are honest, trustworthy, helpful and will always do the right thing. They know my Zed is my baby and always make sure they look after it, when in their care!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sprayed and fitted some alloys we kept from our old zed

Some play is normal with journal bearing turbos mate. They rely on the oil to create a floating effect, effectively hydrostatic pressure.

Well she's finally on a classic policy from midnight. Thank **** for that.

Here's to a hopefully saltless Winter ahead.

DETAILS!!! Text, phone, PM, Message, Facebook, meet or email me buddy:biggrin:

I'm going to jae with another club this year and they have entered me for the show and shine!

With this in mind I began looking around my car and making notes of places that she needs work concentrated on to really bring her up to standard.

One of these places was along the tops of the wings inside the bonnet and the underside of the bonnet.

There is a lot of hard black tar like muck stuck to it and had a go at cleaning it with some autoglym engine and machine cleaner.. It took it off really easy but I also noticed te cloth turning red as it began also taking the paint surface off!

I had read the packaging and there was no mention of possible paint damage so fairly annoyed about this!

Anyway, I obviously stopped immediately and rinsed the areas.

I then bought autoglyms tar and spot remover, this stuff is the dogs danglys..

Here is the difference before and after. This was after a simple soft rub of the cloth over the affected areas.

So if you guys out there want to remove the nasty black stuff from your engine bays, avoid engine and machine cleaner from autoglyms but use their tar and spot remover!

Great stuff. Good luck

Cleaned ready for mot tomorrow. First one in two years... wish me luck

Nice job Hellraiser:punk: really liking the tan interior, it goes so well with the red outer and black interior

Best of luck tomorrow but I hardly think you'll need it with a car as fine as yours matey.

Thank you. There is not much more to see being a swb.. I am currently waiting to see if Mondo can match the leather as I need some bits making... I cannot take credit for the interior leather as it was like it when I bought it.. it just wasn't completed so I now have the task of finishing the job

I hope you have a great time.

Static shows like JAE are really not my cuppa but in your new roll as NEO you might be in a position to let the organizers know why this club pulled out etc.

Your impressions of the show re numbers of cars, value for money etc etc will be interesting.
