  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

If you get a spare moment, could you PM some pictures of them to me please?

Mine are en route from AMS as we speak so I'm interested to see what the hell I've actually bought!

After a couple of unplanned lie-ins for the neighbours, she's back with a Bosch S4 068 :)

Shame it's too big for the battery cover.

Called the USA today to order a new passenger area carpet. At 160 dollar I tought it was a good deals. Then the guy gave me the shipping cost......370dollar  I will have to find another solution to get rid of the 2 holes in my original carpet...

Can you get it from Nissan directly?

HAha, from Nissan directly???? The car is to old....dealers don't even bother to look in their computer if they can order original keys. I had those ordered from the States too.

Is there not some Zclub in belgium? Can you not ask someone in Belgium if they have one?

Think there is a Z-club in Holland. But, if anyone has a black passenger-area carpet lying around (lwb or swb) I'm interested :-)

You can put up a thread in the wanted area if you want :)

Hmm maybe registered users can't create wanted threads then. I thought they could.

Had some spare time yesterday afternoon, so I went to the aladdins cave at the end of my garden to see if I could get on with something for the Z.

Took the plenum, hard boost pipes and rocker covers in to the local coatings shop for coating. Ended up steering away from powder coating and went for 2 pack polyurethane coating instead under advice of the very knowledgeable guy there.

Red and gold bits galore will be ready for collection midway through next week!!!

Anyway, found the box that I got from Mark at automodz with the coilpacks in it. Glanced at the can of spray paint on the worktop and began whipping out the bolts that hold the coil pack brackets on..

A short time on the bench grinder with the wire wheel and all the dirty black flaky paint and rust was gone and six shiny metal brackets revealed.

The sun was shining so out came the washing line and some home made wire hooks. Then dangling were six brackets.. A couple of undercoat layers and then 3 topcoats and finally 2 coats of lacquer and hey presto!! Body colour coilpack brackets!!

Installed the gauge holder where the stereo was. The centre slot is reserved for an AFR gauge.

Then I started faffing around testing out to see if the idea I have for mounting the sender for my oil temp gauge will work. Which in happy to report it looks like it will. Always helps having spares for stuff like this.
