• We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Bizarre is a little out there I think?

I like to think of them as different...

I've asked many opinions of them and mostly I've been told they make the car stand out from the rest in a good way.

One day when the paintwork is tired I might have them off when she's resprayed, although that'll probably be a long time from now..

Just got back from visiting Keith to pick up my freshly painted front bumper with new stillen lip. Had to quickly fit it tonight as I'm moving the zed tomorrow as the drive is being dug up. Thanks again Keith, great job! More pics tomorrow. New red badge fitted too.

Looks really good with the moustache mate... Good choice!

Thanks mate, think the fogs & clear side lights need to go though. Might tint them.

I'm definitely going to tint mine when I get mine done. Wanting a Stillen lip too now though!

Received the new dash leds today, so decided to have a go at fitting.. Managed to do the right pod, started on the left only to find that the bulbs in the heater control pod are bigger than the right pod? Even the ones in the right pod seemed to be slightly larger than those I bought but hey, I soldiered on.

Started scratching my head when I went to remove the dashboard section, so decided it best to wait until I know what I'm doing.. Here's what I managed to change today though...

The aircon pod actually uses the smaller T3 neo wedges and the light pod uses the T5 and in you dash pic, why is the fuel light on lol

The wiper symbol is another story as is the hazard symbol.

The fuel light is always on.. It's not the low fuel light it's the symbol to tell you what the dial represents lol. Although I've never seen the fuel light lit so don't even know if it works!? I never let it run low enough to find out..

When you posted up about the bulbs I just went to that link and bought them. The pods have 4.2mm bulbs in them and the ones I bought were the 3.5 neo but i somehow managed to wedge them in to work? Got the correct size on order now but lots of spares.. So bedzee, if you want your pods lit up then I have enough of the original bulbs here to do it for you mate.

I'm guessing groover, the wiper one is the same as the hazard where it's soldered in to the circuit board inside the wiper switch itself? My wiper switch doesn't light at all and never has since I bought the car.

Very nicely done, looks great!

Cheers Si, putting the number plate back on might spoil it a bit.

Love it Tom and I would fit the series 2 front indicators with the orange filter removed. Do you have an undertray fitted?

I've got an under tray but not fitted it yet. I've got a few side lights in my shed. Got some dummy uk ones so might open the back up for bulb holders & fit them. Not sure about the mot regs though as they're quite dark.

My S2 indicators are now essentially the same as those blanks, mate - inasmuch that the internals have been sprayed black, which darkens the whole appearance. Doesn't make a huge differance to the light output as the actual lens is still transparent and my Zed sailed through her MOT last year with them fitted. :thumbup1:

The symbol is also the fuel light, if you look at the temp symbol, the fuel symbol should look the same when lights on, it just looks in the photo, brighter than normal, ie looks like the fuel low light is on.

The hazard and wiper switch need to be soldered to two prongs, its in the dash led write up :thumbup1: so no pcb board to worry about

I never knew that about the fuel light. I expected there to be a separate light for the low fuel, like an amber light that comes on next to the fuel symbol.

Well ya learn something new every day huh!

There is lol, right behind the symbol, FYI there are only 4 illumination bulb holders, although the holder is the same colour for the fuel light, it should only come on when the fuel is low and the signal sent to it.

OK, so I'm assuming then that the illumination bulb that I replaced on the gauge cluster is much brighter than the old one. If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying that there is another bulb apart from the illumination bulb that lights behind the symbol?

If that's the case then the L.E.D fitted behind the illumination must be bright enough to make the fuel light illuminate as I only changed the illumination bulbs in the dash itself. The others were different sizes to the ones I had. I'm still a little puzzled by this but it's an illuminating conversation!
