  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Yeah if we had more time he would have stomped back but more important to get it sorted

True :cool2: Your ZEd is stunning, deserves better. Will you be at Coventry? I thought you were unwell? Hope you are feeling better and can make it.

Accept it won't be ready for tomorrow and give time to getting it finished for Beaulieu on the 3rd August. That

gives you 16 days. Come up to Coventry and be part of the event, in any case you are a judge for the car of

show award.

Yup - what Andy said!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

They are usually very good but I will be going elsewhere now

I'd be down there tearing them new arseholes....

Good luck in getting it sorted Mandy - fortunately it looks like only surface scouring so should polish out:clover:

Feeling a lot better and will be there tomorrow if only for a few hours. My paint guys stayed at the garage an extra 2 hours to repair the damage.

Well, if yesterday counts, took a pic of the odometer100002km 17 Jul 14 s.jpg

That's the 4th time I've seen the 6 figure tickover (km) in a Zed! :surrender:

Despite today's bad mood, I can take solace in the fact that I am very happy with my Z now. Few more pics of today's action. I offered up the bumper to see how the metallic grey moustache looked and I am very happy with it. I am also really happy with the new colour; you can't see the pearl in the photos, but it's so bright and fresh, the car looks like brand new. Certainly will do with all new roof trims and everything else I've bought for it over the past year.

I took these around midday, the whole back end is all back together now and spent some time making sure the bumper alignment was completely spot on as the panel gaps on this car have always been very very good. All the rubbers, metal retainers and door rubbers now refitted along with latches, catches, rear lights, parking sensor. Getting there.

Thanks Gary! I am really happy with its new look. The car looks so much cleaner and more fresh and it's a pretty decent job too. I just want it to look like brand new and with all the new trim I am fitting (roof trim mainly as I have had scuttle panels for a year now) and I'm plastic polishing and sealing my 99-spec lights and perspex panel, it should be a pretty clean Z. :)

I really want some new arch liners, but they're devilishly expensive. Mine are pretty good, but I want new!! :)

What are you doing with your old trims Si? I can bet they are ten times better than mine if you want to flog them on lol

I promised them to Osty1, he was after some rear trims, told him he could have the lot, gratis. If he doesn't need them, you're welcome to them. I trashed one of the windscreen trims unfortunately.

No worries mate, let me know if he doesnt, i couldnt find my pass window trim to be painted, so having to leave both off for tomorrow, although disappointed it doesnt complete the look, im pleased with the overall theme.

Did this today

Luckily. Got a replacement hose. Car is 3 mins from home and halfords is 5 mins walk away. Lost the bloody hose clip nuts in the dark, so 10am halfords then see what the weather is saying.

That^^^^^^ looks bloody lovely mate !! The newly refurbed wheels really set it off. Nice!!

Well done guys all looking great :)

Any updates si?

Well I have the car back, but didn't get it in the garage until just after 1.30. :( They'd already started machine polishing it when I got there and I managed to wait for a break in the rain (not watertight). Right PITA! Pissed off I missed Coventry, but had running commentary and photos being sent via Whatsapp from Joelyp

I drove 304miles on one tank of fuel without the light coming on, bloody hell.

LOL - you were driving too slow Steve.....

I scraped into Warwick Services on the way home today - 312 miles from the last fill-up and the fuel light had been on since dropping Gary and Lee off at Brum Airport!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Slowly building up the front end. Top tip for headlights if ever you have them out for whatever reason, a thorough clean with APC @ 1:1 dilution and a toothbrush and you get the below! Nothing worse than filthy stained headlight backings in an otherwise clean engine bay. Mine were clean before hand, but got them that bit better as they're quite visible with the bonnet up.

Not really that exciting!
