  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Drove it for the first time this spring, I really need new rear tyres lol. Even in the dry 1st is bloody useless! Also not a hint of smoke :)

Know what you mean about rear tires Steve..LOL. Good news over no smoke anyway:wink:

Drove to Inverness in the GT 300zx and came back in the sports car 300zx. On the way out I burbled along in comfort, decent sound system playing my ipod. Rang my dad on the hands free. Did a bit of defensive parking in the shopping centre...

Got my titanium key cut

Then after my shopping it was waiting for me like a monster in the corner, the new key worked and I took the longer route back. It is so very trustworthy, it reassures you and eggs you on. I know how far I can push because I have set it up and a recent damper fiddle has got the most from the arbs, it is a great feeling. The roads were dry with dust on them and most corners were in third with the tail wagging the dog from the mid point to the exit.

With a big smile on my face and plans to take the car a step further in my head I stopped being 17 year old Tom after a few miles and calmly growled back to my oily parking space in the mess car park enjoying the sun and the nissan smells.

I'm going with some funky Dutch tyres on payday, really really good reviews. Verdenstuens or something lol.

Can't let that go without commenting.

Love my Vredesteins on the rear, brand new Ultrac Sessanta's, they look superb, so aggressive looking and pleasing on the eye once they are dressed.

If only they had my size for the fronts :(.

They also look like there's a bit of stretch but there isn't, if you get me.

Don't know what they're like for grip though !!!! Cars not moved a muscle since they were fit !!!!

Absolutely super for grip, I would highly recommend them.

That's them :) reviews for dry grip are great, I'm toying with either 265 or 255 I've got 265s ATM but they're ballony it's about £60 less for the 255s per pair.

Previously I had Continental 245's on my 17's at the rear, these gave me a quite attractive slight stretch which I liked and also they didn't rub at all. With me wanting more rubber down I went for the 255 Sessantas, they look pretty much the same as the 245's did as the top does angle in.

IMO don't be swayed with the £60 saving and stick with the 265's :thumbup1:.

Those wheels are beautiful, If I got my wheels that clean I would be using nothing but the handbrake and gears to slow down.

Thanks Tom I use a lot of Rim Wax so any dirt or brake dust does not sit on the alloys and washes of very easily.

Did you buy and glue 4 nose panel (Z) badges on those wheels, because they're BBS aren't they?

Not BBS Tom they are the cheapest new alloys you can buy on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18-SILVER-MOTORSPORT-RS-ALLOY-WHEELS-FITS-TOYOTA-SUPRA-/300743317732?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item4605b2d8e4

The center caps are from the 300zx nose panel but where 1.5 mm to big so I had to skim them down slightly.

Steve ive just bought and fitted these 265/35/18 and when i saw them i thought another set of cheap tires...could not be further from the truth, they are amazing for the money and get upto temp really fast. Amazing rear grip too in dry and damp. and yes that price is for a pair:w00t:

That price is ludicrous, I was looking at paying that a corner.

I gotta wait till payday, I purchased something small round metal and stupidly pricey so it's cut my funds a touch lol

First, I did a trial fit of my new aero package:
