• We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I went for a little drive into town and spotted a UK zed at the petrol station.

Pulled in and had a little chat with the bloke. Apparently he only lives down the road from me but never uses his zx because (in his words) its just a novelty car.

Tidy looking late-spec UK car....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

To be honest, it was In pretty good shape except the rear of the sills which he said needed welding and the rear spoiler which was well past its sell by date.

Other than the wheels and some crystal rear lights (to replace cracked/grazed originals) it was completely original.

I didn't realize there was another zed in Colchester other than mine and taff's.

I just wanted something a little different Joel, FYI the sessantas were £118.00 and the Nokians were cheap compared to other sites at £62 each, which incidentally I noticed today are made in Japan .

I wanted to introduce a bit of red to my silver fan with a tremendous amount of lacquer of course .

Tax gone up this year Bri? I am gonna get mine done for April. Always seems to be an increase.

£225 for a year at the moment.

Mine goes back on the road in April too.

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

I am cheap-skate...but for a reason. I haven't put a year's tax on my car in years! What's 6 months then? Circa £125?

Pretty much as it was the last year. Not sure Osborne actually put car tax up did he? He froze car tax and fuel duty at the last budget iirc.

I'll google it next time. :)

Well me and david_251180 had a mini meet of our own today, drove in sun then rain then sun again, had coffee and cake, nice to meet more of the zed community. I look forward to a run out in his next time, we certainly tested the stillenz and I can't remember how it was before but the car is on rails! A good day  :thumbup1:

Got my new front tyres fit on the wheels and got them on today, originally when I got the car they were this width at 235 with a 45 profile, I have had 215's on until now but these were always too narrow but didn't rub like the 235's do but I have some adjustable this and that to fit by Mr Lee Dent so my hope is to eliminate any rubbing, profile on these is 40 and I have 25mm hubcentric spacers fitted.

On the swage line at the front I had some led amber/white strips, these did not last even though they were supposed to be waterproof .

Now all gone, tidied up with a blow of paint and a new black line, fyi whilst sorned the bulbs are removed from indicator unit as one was quite expensive and I don't want dampness damaging the smds, much much better this stock look .

Just collected it from the garage with new brake pads/discs all round, a nice new Nissan oil filter and a fresh sump of Shell Helix Ultra.....

.....Oh and another year's MOT....:hyper:

And then I gave the inside a quick clean - it always seems to come back dusty from the garage - and put my new club stickers on the inside of the rear quarters. Cheers Gaz....

Got the garage to fit the new Vredesteins on my rims and I fit today on the rears, last night I spent a considerable amount of time off the car grinding back areas of slight curb damage and then just worked my way through with grades of paper until they polished up real nice, can polish even more as the day back on the road approaches in May.

DSC02956.jpg

got some good year asymmetrical 2s fitted to the rear as my 'sunnys' aka ditch finders had a nail in . What a difference!!!!! ordered 2 more for the front and off to A-line on monday to sort my geometry .

What did I do to my Zed today? I drove it!

Finished work at 11am and instantly regretted not taking the Zed in this morning as it was bright sunshine and blue skies Oop North. So when I got home, I fired the Zed up, pulled her off the drive, stowed the targas in the boot and went for a nose around County Durham. :)

118 miles later, she's back on the drive with her lid on. Twas good to stretch her legs a bit and the amount of rubber-necking and finger-pointing as I cruised through some of the villages was fab! :D

I really need to make an effort to get some odd jobs done to her now...

Took it out for a spin, well shopping really, but also to try the Miester's I finally fitted. Trying to get the right settings is harder than I thought. Photo0008.jpg

Stopped for a scenery shot at the same time, seeing as the weather was nice.
