Endoscope Borescope Snake Inspection Tube Camera Cam 7.2mm USB LED Night Vision

thinking about ordering one of these to use ... just keep up on inspection on the cylinders of the engine ..

has any one used such thing like this ?

looks a handy piece of kit and the moneys spot on....but that geezer needs to cut his nails in the pic:scared:

The only thing I'd say is that the resolution is very low at 640x480. That works out at only 0.31 megapixels. So the pics it takes will be tiny with no real detail.

yeah i seen that but all the cams with in a nice price are that res ... but all so need the cam end to be small in DIR 7.2 is good the others around are larger dont even think they get in the plug hole

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

hellraiser has just invested in something along these lines quite usefull for looking around and inspecting those hard to see places.

well if you get one mark, let me know how it goes and might just get one for my self, be interesting to know if i have forged internals or not

I got mine from aldi, it's bloody brilliant! Colour screen variable intensity led light and nearly a meter of flex to get in them hard to reach places. Was only £60. Can lend you it mark if you just wanna use it once ?

I would like one of these, but I better not as I`m sure I would try and stick it up my arse to have a look :D

great bit of kit...could you trade off a bit of size for resolution maybe? can you do that with it?

  • Author

thats 640x480 res .... dont think theres any other options with in the software

Edited by MarkDerby

640x 480 is a perfectly useful resolution - those cameras that claim to be 2 mp clearly aren't! - it even says its only 640 x 480 in the text! I would trade resolution for a decent lens (close focus and decent depth of field) not least because the smaller the pixel, the less sensitive and we are using these in small dark places most of the time so sensitivity is important.

"i was so impressed i bought the company" ...great buy and ime going to buy. Incidently 10 points to anyone who can tell me where that famous phrase is from:winkiss:
