Can anyone tell me the harshest, most nastiest weedkiller I can buy? I've got an area I want clearing and dead for at least a year, but whatever I try, it just won't stay dead, not even slightly dead, all the stuff I have bought just seems to be watered down pi55, I have used sodium chlorate in the past, great stuff, but now i can't buy it any more because people have been using it make bombs....!

Have u tried just covering the area with those anti weed sheets to stop em getting any light? Kill em that way

Paraquat (not sure if that is the correct spelling) if you can still get it, lethal, but also highly toxic and you wouldn't have to go to the area for a couple of days, and keep all animals away......

I believe the main ingredient of weed killer is sodium hydroxide more commonly known as drain cleaner. Make some up yourself at a higher concentrate but be carefull cos it can burn skin

roundup is for girls, I want some serious kick-arse toxic shite for men :) Seriously tho, I have used all that, everything, it's like the triffids tho, even after them dying (a measily bit, even with ten times the normal amount of weedkiller) and digging them up, within days they are back, within a week a couple of feet high, I want something to penetrate and kill the soil, something reet nasty :)

I was actually going to say that in my very first post, but it's my back garden, and the fence is next to a public footpath, and you get a lot of scrots floating about, although 99% of them know me and wouldn't mess (because they have in the past, and got caught, by me), but it is an option mate....

deisel will kill all weeds, trees and almost any animals in the process.Greenpeace wont like it either:)

sodium chlorate was the best but you cant get it anymore, try getting some rock salt and pulling the weed out then cover whatever else is left with rock salt

i can get deosan hypochloride which is some nasty stuff! burns skin in a bad way though

I was told undiluted Bleach or boiling salted water.

 

Most weed killers I think are designed to kill weeds, but unharm other plants - hence their relative weakness.

 

If the area has no other plant material you need to save, then you can go all out on it.

glyphosate is roundup, it is a hormone that tells the plant its life is over so it dies off. You need to use this a varying strengths depending on the type of weed 20ml p/l kills most things.. knot weed etc make it 25/30 and will prob need a few goes as it`s a nightmare to kill, only needs a tiny bit of root to remain and it`s back.

Best to buy concentrate of any weed killer and make it up or you`re wasting your efforts unless it`s dandylions or something.

right ladies, what you want is clorine. get it from your local pool shop, about £20 for 20 literes smaller ones are available. its teh 14/15% stuff you want there is a 10% which can also be used, depends on how l;arger area you want tio do etc. the 14/15 can be diluted. we sell gallons of the crap to roofers and gardens etc. its evil stuff however that will bleach your clothes and will eed rinsing off before pets can walk on it etc etc etc. generally its applyed 50/50 mix with water in a pestdicide sprayer. left for an hour por so the rinised off throughly with a hose. i t will kill anything it contacts so dont uver spray on teh grass etc. any really subborbb ones can be murdered with a 100% spot dose afters. hope this helps. you did ask for the nastiest stuff

Very handy to know as i have quite a bit that needs clearing.

 

Do you know if this will clear brambles as well?

Go to US army surplus site and get some Agent Orange !
