I run 275/35/19 Vredestein`s on my TT ,fookin expensive but good and grippy, and just bought 4 brand new 245/40/18 federals on my vert for £283 inc fit and balance, dont know how long they last but seem ok

Daz.

I hear the Falken 452s are pretty good.....

.......but I decided against them last Friday and fitted a set of the new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics. For a premium brand they weren't too expensive for 265/35/18 rear and 225/40/18 front. £577 all in; fitted balanced and new valves, mobile fitting service at my office from Event Mobile Tyres.

They get a very good rating as well....

Plus they were voted top tyre in Evo and Auto Express magazines.....

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Bridgestone S02 all round. Had the FK452's on my last Z with less power and that broke traction all the time. Just got a new set of the bridgestones on and it only lets go when i make it. In the dry of coarse. But even in the wet they are good.

cheers

danny

Never lost traction with the 452's on. Only if really pushed??

Or clutch kicking LOL??

I forgot Murt had Linglong tyres!

It's a bit like giving a porn star copper slip instead of Durex lube!

i thought murt would have got rid of the ling longs after the japfest incident

hes prob waiting for them to wear, with those wear rates they will still be going for years to come.

Nope, he's still rolling on those. Slightly better than Remoulds, but only just. I have harassed him to replace those tired of TSW wheels. He's gonna do it too!!

Falkens have amazing grip for price altough they dont wear as well as top names but for the price you cant complain for the road, only downsides are the soft tyre walls and flexi treads which move about too much, probably due to being to spread apart.

i am getting a set of toyo's tr-1's fitted today.. will report how they go

although i know they are soft so will eat them quick

I have 285x35x18 Dunlop SP's on the back of mine and they are soft compound, which is not bad in the wet and do not squeel if you rip off quickly.........I don't know if thats good or bad. They leave the traditional 11's on the road tho' but they are not wearing badly. The best tyres I have had on a Zed were Michagonis, I think thats how it spelt and they were fitted on 19 inch rims (265x30's) and they stuck like glue, wet or dry but very harsh ride obviously partly due to being 19's and 30 profile.

Pielli Pzero's all round, rear ones need replacing soon and Falken seem to be cheaper option

best tire ive ever had wet or dry:)

nobody else has kumhos i think theyre good!!

yes bud got kumhos very pleased with them...grips very good..and very reasonable price

i had kumho ecsta supras on my last zed and they were very good, by far the best mid ranged brand tyre iv driven on... i replaced them with falken fk452s as they were cheaper than the ecstas, bad idea! i thought were a crock o shite... cheap, but for a reason.

on my current zed i have run pilot sports which were extremely good, but pricey, so i currently have eagle f1 assymetrics... they are quite a bit cheaper than the pilot sports and seem to be a better all rounder.
