Over the last few month i have been checking how accurate the petrol tank gauge is on the zed, i have let the tank run down until the petrol light comes on then go for a fill up, ive done it 3 times and found that the tank still contains 18 litres of fuel when the light comes on(basically a quarter of a tank, or by my zeds economy around 70ish mile).

thought it would be useful to share although yours may be slightly diffrent, all i know it its given me confidence that if i realise im miles from anywhere with no money on me, ive got a 70/80 mile range to sort something out

does anybody know if you can buy more accurate gauges for the zed that fit where the old ones went cos im guessing they are prob all way out on accuracy??

id leave it that way... tbh its prolly been designed like that to prevent too much s**t from being drawn through the system.

When I bought mine off Gio, he said it was around 60 miles, aint ever tried to find out though, think i've gone about 40 miles with the light on

i have driven a few times until the needle is completly under the Empty bar and still had some left (no idea how much though)

So always more in the tank :)

I think the manual states there is 15 litres left when the light comes on, so your figures pretty much tie up with that :D

where is the petrol light? Mine's never come on, but I can't see where it would be if it did.
