WAs just wondering today about how long i will have my zed for. As it doesnt owe me anything i wouldnt be in any hurry to get rid of it. So my thoughts where on if i could picture myself having the car for basically the rest of its life. As now adayds you cant get a performance car for the kind of money a zed is.

Was just wondering how long you guys reckon use will have yours.

I cant see myself ever selling it. If I fancy a new car, I'd change my daily driver, the Z is my toy.

I do really fancy having a tasty 240z at some point as a toy, but it would'nt replace the Z32.

I picture myself having a zed for the rest of my life in one form or another. I've owned 3 so far and this is my fourth and tbh i've only ever changed to move onto a better zed, this 6.3 v8 should last me for as long as i want a zed, newly built engine and gearbox, no rust, fresh interior and every part is new so the only thing i'll do is work on something special for the bodywork

Same here really.........

........although I may let the ZX go if I bought a 240Z.

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I will have it forever :)

I love it more and more every day lol!! even tho it sounds daft its true

This is my 2nd, and i will be fooked if i have to get rid, its a passion and a good hobby for me, if shes ill, i will fix her, love driving it after a crappy day at work, always makes me smile, she is just getting faster and faster, few things to further do, but well and truly staying.

In about 3-4years, it will be the longest car ive owned by along while, closest is 1 year :)

Major money issues will be coming in a couple of years so she will go then

TBH for what they are worth... i really dont see the point in selling, i dont wanna see her go for a few £ and the get trashed, would rather take her off the road and store her....

so my answer... Never.

Cheerz

I don't think I could sell it. Its crossed my mind so many times, but when it comes to it, I can't let it go :(

If it dies before I'm 30 - I'm going over to the skyline world...... If it dies after Im 30, I need to be sensible and get a 'normal' car :)

I can't see me getting rid of mine i love it too much... plus... im pumping too much money into her this year to even consider it! Its in the shop having work done already... and we're only into the 3rd week of 2009!

Into my 5th year of ownership now and no plans to sell it. Must admit, I did think about it last summer but decided it wasn't worth trying to sell. Similar reasons as the guy in the first post really. It's paid for and eating no meat, as they say. I know I would have regretted it as well. Have come to the conclusion that it will be in my garage for it's lifetime, however long that may be. In other words, I will the last owner of my zed.......famous last words :D

TBH most people on here say they wouldn't sell their zed but I reckon a large proportion of those owners are kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. They know how much Z32's are worth these days and balancing that against the time and expense they've put into theirs, they just can't justify selling it.

With you all keeping your zeds, when i sell mine in a few years, i will get top dollar for the only zed on sale :)

the time will come for me if anything major ever comes up that i need doing to it (turbos/head gasket/engine rebuild), basically if im going to have to pay out a few grand to keep her going, then that is the time i will think is it really worth it for the amount of use she gets, and the anwser will prob be NO.

Funny you should say that as im thinking of spending more than my car is worth very soon :slap:

Youve got to look at the zed as a big boys toy, that brings fun and enjoyment to your life. :hyper:

Ok we all spend more on it than its ever going to be worth in monetary terms, but its our pride and joy and if you makes you happy then great.

I never entered into zeddom thinking "this might be worth a few quid in years to come" or fook me " how much". :headvswal

And for those worried about the cost of running one, shouldnt have bought one :nono:

The looks you get when you drive through the town are priceless :)
