I'm after an easy place to put a set of 6x9's till I put my sound system in, dont mind a bit of cutting.

Put the correct sized speakers in. If you choose a good set and fit them in existing mounts they will sound and look better than cuttout bits to make them fit. Fit a good amp to power them and they'll sound very good.

Sell them then. lol

Where were you thinking of fitting them? Doors or rear?

TBH thats what i am doing also. I have the 6x9s but i'm just gonna get shut. After i bought the 6x9s i decided to just go for some superb quality original size speakers front and rear - much easier that way, and IMO looks alot better all covered in original places and what not.

dont mind at the mo, wanna move them later. or might get some more sets;)

Aren't 6 x 9's a little chavtastic? :tongue::rofl::rofl:

Surely the sound of the engine should be good enough?! Plus they'll add weight..

As others have said, original fit high quality ones ;)

There's enough room to do it although i would advise doing what i'm doing shortly which is mount some 5mm mdf onto the door and then screw the 6x9 and cover into that through the door card which then holds the door card tight to the door and eliminates any rattles or in my case fixes the broken plastic clips and holds everything tight

did'nt have any probs fitting mine allthough a little cutting was needed

got to agree if you go down the road of putting them in the doors its definitely a good idea to pack it out with mdf, i did do mine to solve the broken clip problem to lol

I hoping to havea bigger set up than you when I finished, got 6 subs to go in then fill any gaps with speakers. Just have to finish the other car first.

I aint got any broken clips, would i still need wood?

yeah they tend to shake the door card as it is onlly held on with the clips where if you use the mdf gives a good solid fixing

Will look in 2 it, need to get the other one in and an amp set up first;)
