As the date gets closer everyone seems to be chikening out lol. How many people who have there tickets are going to use them?

for the 300zx tt progressive and all for the measly price of 139. incuding vat. Just seems quite interesting? wouldent mind doing it before trax lol

thinking about it it may not be a good idea for me to go thrashing it around trax with only having my heater matrix done two days before the event thats if they have one in and get it done before then so i may have a track session for one of you lucky punters

I was coming home today at speeds of between 60-80 when I cam to a round-a-bout and I went round and tried to pull off hard at the end of it. I was not getting the acceleration I was used to. Looking at the boost I only got about 6-7 psi and was getting nowhere near the usual presure. At the next set of lights, I stopped my enging and started it again and it worked fine. Is there anything I can look out for? Could this just be a one off incodent? Should I be worried about anything? Any help will be good Stuart ( :-S )

Hey guys, Started my lovely silver bullet this morning and noticed a rather loud metallic noise coming from the engine. It was as if something was repeatedly hitting something metallic and increased in frequency as the revs piled on. It promptly disappeared after about 8 miles and seems fine now. Any thoughts what it may have been? As always, your wisdom (both good and bad) is greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, anyone interested in buying 4 stock ZX (Jap) alloys with new rubber? Just about to buy a 300ZX in the next few weeks....but they all seem to have starship mileage on aroung here......providing they've been properly serviced what'll these engines go to before a rebuild ? N/A and Turbos respectively. who's got the highest miler on the board ?

So what was the final list for Trax on Sunday then? The date has crept up and my Zed is overdue a service for the Tuesday after the event and the UJ's are noisy and I'm driving to France in it the following Wednesday so..... would you guys mind if took the Caterham 7 instead? I'll put a sticker on the back that says 'My other Cars is a Zed!' Simon (Sparco boots and helmet at the ready!)

Was offered £1000 part exchange for my 300 on Friday - hahahahahahahah I asked him 3 times if he was serious - Iwasnt in it at the time so not sure if he beleived I was for real (no way was I selling - just curious) he said 'its an 11 year old car - who wants that?' so there you go - the culprit was Reynolds Nissan in Southport - avoid them - phoned up a couple of times and am NOT impressed at all. I'm considering going back in the Z to ask them why they thought it was only worth a 1000 quid - so I can look them in the eye and tell em I wont be having it serviced with them! or repaired - or anything. Swines.

anyone know of anywhere else I can get a stylish hood? this is the only one i could find on the net after over 3days of searching, the thing that pisses me off is veilside has a custom hood on their 300zx but they don't sell it =T i mean I like this but it looks like it was snapped on, i mean I don't think I'd want people to plaster the crevices in to try to smooth it out if there are other good hoods out there.

Well, well, well, after last weeks escapade with Nissan telling me they don't have a 300 Zx model, I rang again to find out where my new targa seals where? after a 30 mins argument the the F******G morons I told them to F**K off and I'll get the seals somewhere else, as they couldn.t find my order or anything else to do with it? Where else can I get these? I've looked at all the Z related sites I know but I cn't find anybody that does seals, any ideas Please help as I don't want to go back to Nissan to get them. My Jap Z is boosting to +5 x100mmHg on the stock gauge. Is this standard and what's this in PSI etc? I have a JWT ECU, K&N, HKS Dragger and need a boost upgrade. Where can I get a cheap one from? (I assume they are all pretty much the same - I don't think I need a controller unless at a very good price) Also need a water temp guage and boost guage. I heard 15PSI is about the max to go to - is this right?

I jus bought my first 300zx =) It's a 1990 300zx twin turbo it already has dual 12inch JL audio subwoofers running 3 mtx amplifers, image chrome rims 6circle design which was discontinued a few years back, dual 4inch exhaust, supra style spoiler, tinted windows, and front air spoiler =) hehe it's all exterior work, but the only bad thing is I have to get the twin turbos rebuilt, which I've worked out a trade with a local mechanics shop to get them rebuilt for free. It has 150k miles on it, with only 10k on the rebuilt engine with 26k more miles under warrenty by the mechanic shop =) I'm going to get a wide body explosion kit which adds 3inches to …

I've just had me car for a week now but have noticed on the motorway at low speeds there's a small vibration going through the car, especially 5th gear doing about 2000rpm(60mph), go upto 80 or 90mph and it seems to get better. Don't really notice it on 'A' roads could it be the propshaft U/J bearings or could it be something more serious and expensive. Can't compare with any other 'Z' cause I never been in one before I bought mine. any ideas very welcome, cheers Jonny...... p.s sorry for the essay!!!!!!!

The curse of Trax has got me as well. 3 things started happening yesterday 1 the speedo keeps going dead 2 the power steering keeps going dead 3 the hicas light comes on now and again the strange thing is that all 3 things dont always happen at the same time. Sometimes its just the speedo. Ive checked all the fuse/relay box for dodgy connections. It must be a simple electrical connection but where? BEWARE the CURSE of TRAX Paul

A job for one night this week is a coolant change (eww its all brown in there!) or two.. Obviously I need a mixed-metal safe coolant, and lots of (distilled preferrably) water.. But.. I fill the rad through the rad cap, I assume, but then do I also fill that coolant bottle thing on the right hand side (as you look at the engine) of the bay? I notice it has a dipstick in it... OK - I found the sight glass.. I really wasn't looking for something that looked quite like that! It looks like.. Well.. Bubbly white stuff (use your imagination guys ), so it's gotta be super-mega-low on freon (which I'm assuming is still R12 in my system).. Question - does anyone around my way (ish, dont mind travelling 100 or so miles) have a reliable aircon guy who can either refill the system with R12 (sshhhh.. dont tell anyone) or one of the R12-safe mixes?
