I am planning to arrange a karting event as follows : Location : Buckmore Park, near Maidstone, Kent (15 mins from M25). It's a 1.2 km track with three great overtaking opportunities. Format : 15 minute practice + 1 hour endurance race Karts : Honda twin engine (avg lap speed 52 mph) Drivers : One male, one female in each team - no exceptions. No driver can drive less than 25 minutes of the hour Cost : £95 per kart After bitter past experience, I'll only be booking for those who have got money in my account so if you're a 'maybe' then I'll be looking for money up front and I'll then refund if I can replace you. I did a similar event earl…

  4. I have a split at the edge of one of the big solid rubber pipes going to the throttle bodies and i'm also getting a leak from somewhere else in the system. I've seen some nice coloured pipes somewhere but can't find 'em now... any ideas where I can get a set? My silver Z has a lot of red details on it so preferably red pipes... Any tricks for finding a leak as it's difficult getting your head under the bonnet at full boost!!

Hey guys, Strosek (or Paul Baily) gear is a little hard to come by down under thanks to the pathetic excuse for a dollar we have and shipping etc so I'm trying to make my own rear round light panel. Does anyone know what lights are used in those kits? I need to still incorporate the reverse light somehow which is giving me trouble, the Strosek kit seems to have a combination blinker/reverse light but I can't figure out what it's from. Any ideas? Someone told me they are from a Fiat but I'm not so sure. Many thanks, Ben www.aus300zx.com

Are any of you Londoners up for a meet this month. It'll be a great way of making new contacts and putting faces to names. It needn't be just Londoners, I've travelled miles to Z meets, makes a change to have one in the London area. I'm awful organising things so I need your help if theres interest for this. On my way to the pub tonight, the wipers on my Z decided to switch themselves on for about 3 minutes, then stopped. The car is low on washer fluid- is this a reminder to put screenwash in, or is my car possessed? If so, has anyone got a phone number for a good "GhostBuster"? Dave

Well, the honeymoon period is over: its taken nearly a year of ownership but I finally have my first engine problem... If any expertZ want to get their teeth into this it'd be much appreciated! Okay, the car's been at the doctors for two weeks getting a new aircon compressor and regas. When I picked it up today, the first thing I notice after getting a few minutes down the road is that the HICAS light is coming on when I corner. (It did this for a little while a few weeks ago, but stopped when I put a little TQD in the resevoir). As I'm heading out of London towards the M3 I start noticing that the idle is a bit lumpy and that the revs occasionally fluctuate. Pr…

After having the engine taken out and back in the aircon clutch is not engaging. I think its electrical. Does anyone know where the wires connect to. I found a black earth wire hanging off the compressor but it looks like its been hanging there for years - loads of corrosion and crap on it. Is there a fuse? how can you test the relay? Mines a 90. cheers

Since fitting my boost controller I sometimes hear a spooky WHOOOOOOOOO noise under boost (no laughing!!) Seems to do it even with the boost down at about 11/12psi and it doesn't sound like detonation from the descriptions i've heard from you guys. Any ideas? Could it be an air leak somewhere although it doesn't seem to lose power?

Ok I got about 7 minutes of film *ho ho fnarr* of the 300zx and Supra track time. I was filming from the stand that most people were watching from and filmed the mad corners before the main pit lane straight. Got a couple of good clips of psycho nutter b*stard in the Carlton (nice bloke hehe). Trouble is its 80meg mpeg (compressed down from 1.7gb DV Avi) - does anyone know how I can compress it down further, to a more z32.org-dump friendly size?? There are a couple of funny bits, like when the plank in the black soopra went the wrong bloody way out of the traps (doink didnt anyone mention this on mkiv.net hehe) and the Seven going round the corners like they were n…
