Evening one and all, A quick Q for ya: someone is trying to sell me a JWT induction kit (single K&N cone filter) for around $85 (excl. p&p from the good ole USofA). Does this sound reasonable or is it likely to be a dodgy deal? I've seen K&N filter sets for the Z32 marketed anywhere from £100-£215 - so this seems too good to be true. As always, grateful for your wisdom. Have a pleasant evening, Danny

My import zed has a nice after market exhaust on but the previous owner must have hit it a few time and the one silence on the passenger side after the cat is well dented and the weld on the other box is cracking. As the rear silencers and the cats are ok, what is anybodys thoughts on cutting out the middle silencers and replacing with straight pipes?? will it be too noisy or will back pressure probs arise? also where is the supposed restricter in jap exhausts before or after the cats. Cheers Guys Jeff TT

A poor farmer has three sheep and one old Ram. As the three sheep are not conceiving the farmer calls in the vet! Well, you have three options says the vet,a new ram or artificial insemination. "sounds too costly" said the farmer, "but you said three options!" "Yes," said the vet, "do it yourself." The farmer was aghast "How will i know if it works?" "Well," said the vet "if they roll around in the mud the morning after you have made love to them then they are not pregnant, however if they roll around in the Hay, they are pregnant." So, the next day the farmer takes the three sheep in his land rover and does the business. Next mor…

It's just one thing after a-f cking-nother with this f cking heap of sh t car, it really is. Went to install the second pair of stainless hard pipes tonight. Take them off, decided to check out the dodgy CAS wiring (not a proper connector). Pull the insulation tape and find that the wires are just TWISTED together. Solder them together, heat shrink them. Tape it all up, make sure all the connections are secure. Now the car just cranks, it's obviously lost the CAS signal. But I just made the joints BETTER than they f cking were before!? I give up. Those of you that have broken Z's, can I ask what you made back money wise? I've thrown like 5k …

Weird one this, but I'm sure it didn't used to do it... when I first start the car, its turning over at 2K or so (while cold) but I can hear the fan really loud... as I rev the engine up the fan is clearly speeding up too 'wooshhhhh' as you rev the engine... But then once the car warms up (and the idle comes down to normal So, I'm assuming that the fan isn't supposed to be speeding up with the engine like this... kinda weird. It's like something is sticking ? any ideas ? stu

Due to being a sad unemployed IT contractor I have now sold my Z. The bloke came from Exeter last night handed over the readies without looking at it. I insisted he drive it first which he did for 2 miles. He did no other checks and gave me the money. I have enjoyed this forum but sadly will sign off now. When the economy picks up(some hope) I may be able to buy one again. Thanks Craig for running the show. Regards Steve

has happened twice now. stopped for petrol, didn't lock door but had keys in me pocket, went and paid, came back put immobiliser key in, then ignition key - nothing, did same again, nothin again. locked and unlocked doors from inside using remote, nothing. thought it may not be starting as hot (after 110 mile motorway journey, but only 90/100 ish + temp gauge normal) so got out and opened bonnet, stared at engine blankly and then got back in car tried again - started. And then again last night on the way home, although this time didn't raise the bonnet, just kept trying.about 10 times then it worked the same lights come on when it fails as when it works and when it …
