My oil seals are getting worse since fitting a boost upgrade and I'm now getting a fair bit of oil in the lower left hard pipe (the one next to the throttle body pipe) I have heard about smoke from the exhaust but I don't seem to get this just clouds of smoke when cooling down after a long thrash of more than about an hour. Will this oil damage other components or do the turbos eventually die and I just get no power? I just want to know how long I can stick with these turbos as I've just had to spend a grand on major service and radiator.

As most of you know I've been selling the parts from my dismantled 300ZX. Theres one part I'm VERY suprised I havn't sold yet. I'm on about my catylitic converters. What I thought someone would want to do is buy my Cats, punch out the inside of it (thats the bit that reduces the BHP) and then put them on their car. You could then keep your original cats in case you need them to pass the emmissions test on the MOT. I know some people put custom made through pipes in place of the cats, but as far as I know (some people disagree) this breaks the law, which I believe states that a car sold new with a cat, has to keep its cat, even if it was new before they were compulso…

I have ordered a JWT ECU from the states on an exchange basis, but what I want to know is:- Will I be happy just using their boost jets or should I try and find the money for a boost controller. You may all be aware of this already but I wasn’t so I’ll post it anyway. The other day I was going through the tedious job of completing those on-line insurance forms, must have done six or seven with quotes ranging from £550 to £1200, average being around £700. I completed the elephant proposal form and got a figure of £620, at that point the other half came in and got a little pissed off that I had not included her on the proposal. I went on to inform her that with her limited driving experience etc etc it would push the premium through the ceiling. Anyway to humour her I amended the proposal to include her as a named driver just to prove my point and to my a…

Been doing Jap foglight conversion to reverse lights today, all works wonderfully well BUT the standard 12v 55w red indicator bulb looks a little dim in comparison to the orig fog light (more pink than red!) - will this pass MOT specifications? Note: got the red bulbs from Kevin Cooper Motor Factors in end (he has ALL colours) Cheers Robb

I have a problem when it comes to lesser significant car manufacturers producing ideas and implementing them when they should be standard issue on the Mighty Z. Yes, I am talking about no other than the major facilitating, life easing, curse refraining, time saving, gimmick loving....oh alright, I'll tell you, Heated washers. There, I said. Yes, I am sad but I wouldn't be in here if I wasn't, just like the rest of you guys and gals. I WANT HEATED WASHERS(Stamping feet). Why did the XR4X4 have them and not Zs? Did Nissan think, "Piffle! Heated washers are for wuss'!?" Well I dont care, I want them. They are a great tool to have in this time of…
