I'm trying to pull the spur of loom that goes to the ECU out into the engine bay.. and I'll be buggered if I can get it to budge - I've pulled with all my might.. yanked.. sworn.. and thought about cutting the loom.. and I still can't get the ECU cable to budge into the engine bay.. There isn't a bolt/clip up behind the dash is there? Please tell me there isn't...

After messing with the ECU last week the Z is dead. I have unplugged the ECU and tried turning the key but it's exactly the same - dash lights come on as normal but nothing fires/turns over when I turn the key. I was told that even without the ECU the fans should come on and the engine will crank. It's not doing this. Any ideas? Need to get it sorted this weekend.

Does anyone have any tips on changing the rear brake pads ? Is there anything I need to know about the ABS, cause otherwise I'm just going to unbolt the old ones and screw on the new ones - is that ok ? Is it as simple as a fiesta ? Also....... some bastard nicked the z centre logo on my steering wheel and now I have just a glob of glue where my nice logo was, anyone know where I can get another ? 1990 Jap Import. as usual thanks for your help

Sorry to highjack the forum but have a problem with my e-mail account wonder if any IT bod can help me. I am receiving my mails ok but have been told by senders they are getting a failed to deliver message? have tried mailing myself and that right,although I received my own mail I then got a mail to say it was undelivered? in the text tiem out error is mentioned.I also have noticed my genie alert to my mobile phone is no longer working. My ISP (Freeserve) has a help page and have mailed them but keep getting auto replies which are not on subject!! come on guys any thoughts? is it down to the Isp or can I have possibly accidentally changed something in my Pc settings whic…

In the picture below there is a black plastic box on the o/s wing just in front of the bulkhead. It has 1 pipe going to the plenum ballance bar! & a couple of wires from the grey connector. Looked through the cd to no avail. Could this be the cars boost sensor that sends a signal to the boost guage, or not! I need to find the boost sensor to wire my new ELECTRICAL! boost guage too If its not, somebody tell me where to look. Then can you tell me the colour of the wire to cut & connect to run the new gauge. As im runnin' short on fuses now LOL. How can I tell if its running OK? Is a rolling road the only way? The reason I ask this is becuase I have never driven any other Z, nor have I been in any other Z while its moving. How can I tell if my car is running lean? Its running smooth and it started every time straight away. I cant complain about the power, its good, but I have nothing to compair to, except my friends Lancia Delta HF4 Turbo, which I can say has faster acceleration than that, just by feel. Hi all I've ignored this for long enough! There appears to be a droning noise that I'm trying locate. To me, it sounds like it's coming from the front (so I thought it could be the wheel bearings, as I can just about "feel" it through the steering wheel - does that make sense?). However, having read the threads about the propshafts I'm now thinking the worst. The noise starts at about 45mph, but doesn't get any worse the faster I go. Its definately a noise and not a vibration. Any ideas? Cheers Paul

Hello all, Came out of work last night to find my Z had been attacked again the dozy arsewipe has kicked in the rear panel between the tailights and kicked off my wing mirrors which swung back and forth on their wires causing nice big arc shaped scratches on both doors (well at least they match). I was wondering if anyone had a rear centre panel for sale? Thanks, Brian

Hiya Guys, I am getting a lot of bounce from the rear of my car and I suspect that the shocks are failing. I am considering replacing all 4 with uprated ones and possibly some new lowering springs. I have done a few online searches and forum searches but have trawled up nothing so far. Some advice, reccomendations and supplier details would be very helpful. Thanks. Amer.
