Hi all :) ive just bought a 300zx fairlady twin tubby and theres a switch next to the auto gear stick that says power and hold.please can anyone explane what this button does? also the clocks are in KMH not MPH where can i get them chainged? kind regards cainy :duffer:

Fitted my hids a while back but only recently noticed ive lost my drivers side main beam (hids are on the dipped circuit). Im a bit confused why.... my hids are wired with a new relay wired direct from the battery to the hids. The relay is triggered from the passenger side stock dipped circuit, and then connected to each of the ballasts. The HID's work fine but i have lost the main beam drivers side. THe sotck nissan dipped circuit drivers side is disconnected (as i only need one trigger for the hids..) but surly the main beam isnt dependant on a working dipped circuit.. Ideas anyone? (Also, how damn cool are HID's :dance: :dance: :dance: )

Have been trying to delimit the Z but to no avail. Have put a new chip in the ecu but dosent work. Will only run on 3 cylinders then. Bought a new ecu but still no luck. Don't wnt to put the new chip in the ecu yet as it may well bugger both. Noticed that the old ECU I have is different. It had a mitsubishi chip in it (which was destroyed by the guy putting the new chip in). Anyone know where I can get a new upgraded chip that will fit my old ECU and delimit the car and turn it into MPH. The old ECU unit is an impul motor racing development one. It says hi-power control unit on the top with a serial number of Z32M-N003. Any advice would be appreciated …

Occasionaly when I slow down to a stop the engine will cut out. It will start straight up again but this is obviously an anoyance. It sems to do it more often when I have been driving hard. Anyone got any ideas. Darrell

Struggling to get the thing to move, so I cut the belt so I could carry on with work. Gotta get a new belt anyway as I have a underdrive pulley to go on. But does anyone have a pic of bolt positions or anything as I've undone the tensioning bits and wound it back and pulled on the belt but it wouldnt budge!!! Ta

Going to get some paintwork done in a month or so's time, one of the list of jobs is to get the tailgate sorted out and re-painted. Now I want a factory finish (ie, not mask up to the seal), so will be removing the rear screen rubber seal....which has now turned horrible and brittle. So will be replacing that. What I want to know is, can this particular new seal be fitted without having to remove the screen> I've been told by a few people that it can if done correctly. Anyone away of this?

has anyone got a razo turbo timer i think it's a sport line auto timer i'm looking for a wiring diagram for one i've got the following wires to sort: red which i believe is positive blue ???? is this for hand brake? thick black i'm guessing could be earth and there is a short yellow at the back of the unit can anyone help with this? cheers kev

Ive recently had the suspension changed from the horrible rock hard coilovers that it came with from Japan, to a setup suggested to me by Ryan at Ztech. This was to fit standard Nissan shocks and fit lowered Eibach springs. I had them sent to me and fitted by a local garage. The rears went on no probs but they had to order extra bits for the front as the old setup did away with the standard plates, gaskets etc. Everything seemed to be working fine however a few people commented on the way the central piston that sticks out of the top of the mount in the engine bay seemed to move up and down far too much when you bounced the car up and down. Hello, Since I have my car, it has been the same. When i'm doing a boost leak test, I don't have any leak. But when I pull out the dipstick, all the pressure is released (you can fell and hear it). Since that, I've changed the piston, piston ring (rebore my engine), PCV valve and both turbo's (by uprated) but it's still doing the same. Is it normal? When you guys do any boost leak search, please pull the dipstick to see if doing the same. Thank you

My cambelt is going to be off for a while but i need to leave my battery on for the tracker. Is there anyway that I can kill the ignition, so if the key is turned it wont crank the engine. Hopefully I wont do that but just incase, also, hopefully it wont happen, if some mother f***er tries to steal it!!! I cant find a fuse or anything. Thanks.

Hi all, new member here, great site. I have recently purchased a 300zx and I am really impressed with them, they look attractive and they sound great and the performance is great too. I have one question though, the aerial doesn't work, i'm assuming it's an automatic one but i'm replacing the stereo in it anyway, just wondered if you lot had any advice while the console is out? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi can anyone help me i have a 91 tt swb manuel and when i start it lately it goes to around 1500 rpm and stays there and then might suddnly drop or even cut out this happens even when its warmed up. :headvswal :headvswal A friend of mine reckons its the airflow meter. :dance: Any ideas?
