    hi there,ive decided to de-cat my z the cheap way by smashing the insides out of them(tempory). cat back is off the car and ive removed the clips but they wont seperate from the downpipes???have i missed something?? also,i was wonderin what the other pipes are that branch out of the downpipes?? thanks in advance

    Some Millers CFS 10/60 fully sytn cheapish. Demontweeks is £56 delivered. Yikes From Millers direct its the same. Seems a bit expensive to me, anyone know a cheaper place? Thanks

    Right then, i'm on 3weeks holiday now so i'm gonna finally get round to sorting out some stuff on my Z... I'm gonna replace my Mongoose back boxes cause there too quiet for my liking with some 3" interal diameter straight through ones... I can get these from JETEX but what I also want to do is also weld a 5" Round exhaust tip to each back box a bit like Macca has on his... I've looked on the web but can find anyone that can supply me with these.. Plenty of 4" ones out there but no 5" ones.. If someone knows where I could get one please let me know!!! Thanks very much people!!! :bow:

    OK guys, this one has p****d me right off. Filled up my ride Saturday night with petrol. Dumba** that I am, forgot to put filler cap back on. No problemo, straight to H*LF**DS for a replacement, nifty thing, plastic thing with a turnable centre thingy to turn and lock down nice 'n tight. Drove car to work as usual and from nowhere started to run like a pig. Best way to describe symptoms are what I would imagine dirty fuel might do or a blocked something causing fuel starvation. Garage saved my cap so went to collect on way home from work thinking maybe some technology in the factory fitted one. Some venting or breathing issue. Anyway, replaced the cap and guess what?....…

    Hi you lot, I am taking out my hicas soon and want to connect the two pipes together to keep the curcit going so to speak. Before I take the hoses off and get fliud all over the drive, can anyone tell me what size thread the fittings are and are they conical or flat (i:e with an 'o' ring) so I can get the connection first.     Hello mate, been looking at your pics but can't see if you have the turbo pedal or the n/a. Trying to work out the room there'll be behind the r/h rocker cover. Oh, and how did you sort out the clutch cylinders, I read that you weren't getting enough travel on the slave? Cheers.

    As above really. If, say for instance, I was taking a TT engine and auto box from an Import, and transplanting it into something else, could I be able to get it to run ok ? Would it still need the ECU ? the PTU, the CAS ?? How would the timing, injectors work ?? Can the ECU be used and modified, or is this beyond normal boundaries ?? Just an idea thats floating around in my head at the moment, but a serious one at that ! :rolleyes: Can do what I am thinking of with a normal carb set up, but looking at something a bit more, kinda different.     Has anyone replaced a rear quarter on a z32? I have been looking around body panel sites but cant find anywhere that do replacement rear quarter panels. Does anyone know of anywhere that sell ZX panels ? I found both o/s and n/s rear quarter panels on e-bay..... for a z31 :( Please have a look at pics of damaged quarter @ http://dannysamworth.tripod.com/zx_rear_quarter Any help or suggestions would be much apriciated.     Guys with profec controllers what sort of settings are you running now you have had chance to mess with the controllers for a few months? I have had mine but am finding setting it up difficult. I have yet to hit 14psi and at high rpm the boost always trims back! I am obviously doing something wrong, but was after a few rough settings to tweak from! Cheers

    I'm interested in dipone's wheels (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=79729), but due to work policy I need a zed with an airbag. Does anyone know if you can retrofit an airbag steering wheel onto a non-airbag '94 UK TT auto? I know it's a long shot but am kinda hoping that for this late a model, you paid effectively paid for the wheel and the wiring loom etc was the same for an airbag and non-airbag model... Ta, David

    What do you think of this idea? SWB z 300 TT plus a BMW V10 PLUS TWO TURBOS (just to keep it as a proper twin turbo :hyper: ) Quaife gear box manuel 1.5 way LSD 700 - 850 bhp no nitrous plus traction control and ............... what else would you add or take away and why??????????     Ive just replaced the front bottom suspension arms, the old ones were badly cracked at the tie bar mounting points. I found that when bolting the tie bars back to the arms they didnt tighten down flush and I think the reason is its had polly bushes fitted with absolutely no give, hence the reason the arms fooked up in the first place. Now im looking to replace the bushes with a softer type, unfortunately looking at the traders sites it only seems to be the the hard polly bushes that are available, does anyone know of a supplier of uprated bushes that still have a bit of give in them

    Hi all, Just bought a j spec 300zx tt and iv'e got a problem with the boost. The car only boosts to 6psi. I ran a diagnostics check and it came back code 55 all ok. Can it still run in safety mode with no error codes After a good thrash the car gets very hot with steam/smoke coming from the back of the engine with a burning smell. Do i have a boost leak so the turbos getting hot working overtime Cheers...steve...
