Im looking at getting a new clutch which would preferably be good at letting me do launches off the light without burning the damn thing up..........the standard clutch just wont be able to do that repeatedly so its time for an upgrade as its on its way.............will be introducing NOS later on so will have to be strong enough to cope with that............rough bhp figures of 450 is what im aiming to get once its all done Would consider OS Giken but im not rich so thats out of the question.........so far iv looked at ACT and RPS.........is this the right way to go and which one should i go for? Also would it be worthwhile to get a new lightened flywheel or am…

Went out shopping with the girls today and left the kids with Paul so they could all go to the beach. Driving home we could all see something unusual outside my house. Got even closer and my friend squealed, "Theres a pink car outside your house!!" Bless him! Paul had gone all the way to Wales to get it for me as a surprise and had it back before I got home. Ok been searching for a while and can't seem to the find the exact answer I'm looking for. Basically I have a Jap spec Z and am changing the stereo over from the jap one to my UK Alpine one. I've got an adaptor from Halfords but is it the same for the UK one and Jap spec cars? The little book in Halfords only listed one type for 300zx. Any one know which one I need? Cheers

2+2, large rear spoiler and rear defuser. Parked with bumper rammed onto the curb at Halfrauds. Saw this car at SWZ a few weeks ago.

Just wanted to say a quick hello, been a forum member for a while but never had a zed, Today I've struck a deal with TonyC and bought his stunning SWB TT. Looking forward to some tinkering and a reduction in my spare cash.. :)

My stereo has just started making a thumping kind of noise, it does it whatever you are playing, cd or radio. It is a fairly old Panasonic Tape/Radio setup (not RDS), with a graphic EQ/CD player in the other DIN place, all the same system. Anyone know what could be causing this thumping sound through the speakers, could it be that the suppressor has gone? I am going to get an up to date modern system when funds allow, but would like at least to be able to listen to this until then. It was probably a state of the art sytem when it was new (many moons ago)!!!

hi all. anyone local (ish) got a car trailer i could use for a day or two this week coming? i have to pick up my new Z (no eng/box), bring it back and take the bones of my other one to the scrap :shock: its worth a drink if anyone's got one (or if some of the bits of the car im breaking are of intrest we could sort something out?). im in wolverhampton but the cars in southampton. i can travel to get it as long as its not too far (like scotland, etc lol). its gotta be legal and safe to carry a Z (heavy car) as i dont do dodgy. thanks in advance. si. Hi I know that Auto's 300zx have different Turbo's fitted to them and have a quicker spool up when compared to Manual Turbo's due to a different a/r to compensate for the Automatic gearbox but where do you stand when upgrading to aftermarket turbos as you can't get aftermarket Turbo's designed for either manual or Auto? If you fit say Greddy 18g's for example will there be a noticeable lag on an Auto when compared to fitting them on a Manual 300zx?

my car is running in safety mode i have done an ecu check and has come up code 13 water temp sensor im going to replace this 2day but i also have a prob with the car idle sometimes when started or sitting in traffic the car runs between 1000/1800 rpm almost like the throttle is sticking could this be the sensor on the passenger throttle bodie ????? any suggestions can it be cleaned or am i better off just replacing???? any ideas on cost or where to get one thanx

Firstly a Red standard Zed in the middle of Chipping Sodbury at 18.00 on the 6th doing a U-turn around one of their many roundabouts ( couldn't tell you exactly where I was just passing through on the way to the old severn bridge ) seemed to be lacking an indicator stalk :nono: Secondly a Black Zed, didn't get a good look at this one as I was travelling at speed in the opposite direction, looked to be on his way into Chipping Sodbury! Anyone from here? Dave.

Hi. Finally decided to take a look at why my air con has never worked properly ever since i owned the car. Went into the diagnostic program and found my 'vent duct sensor' was open circuit. Decided to take a look, and it isnt there. The sensor and the pipe it goes on is missing. Anyone breaking a Z that could let me purchase these bits? Thanks
